I'd definitely recommend either the V or ricochet over the IV. I used to have a iv and loved it but now I've had the V for ages and I can't do without chord mode lol

And it's true bypass for your t o a n
füzz lover. Friend. Quilter evangelist.

I make music sometimes:

I thought the Ricocchet was awesome. Better than the V, though less control over what the treadle may offer.

I like my Ricochet a lot. It’s got everything I wanted from the whammy. Sound wise it’s identical, but there are a few drawbacks. There’s only one harmony mode. Oct+dry. No 5th+dry etc. You can’t go from oct+dry down to oct+dry up on the fly. And even with the ballistics set to zero the pitch shift is not instantaneous as it is with the whammy. It’s fast but there is a quick adjustment as the pitch moves.

Sick deal. I highly encourage getting that expression pedal, you need it open up the gain on it.

I've read something about a dummy plug basically opening up the full range?

Also, bought a Mountainking Loud Box cheap from GC site Friday, got cancelled out of nowhere today.

That's interesting, I'll try that when I get home. Has yours come in yet?

Confirmed that the dummy plug technique works! I wonder if they make dummy plugs that are just a single 1/4" end with a cap.

Closed dummy or open circuit dummy? I’ve used Phillips head screwdrivers for channel switching jacks (=zero resistance) but haven’t tried an open circuit 1/4 TS or TRS anywhere. I should mess with a plug and a decade box on my MF Drive to see if there is some expression range actually worth working—been pretty ho-hum in the past.

Use a George l type without the cable. I do this for wet only option on a korg chr1...or find a patch cable that's finicky/broken and cut it :idk:
