you might also consider a 1/8" to 1/4" plug adapter...they may well be cheaper than George L plugs.

Got my PDS 1002.. it's in great shape and sounds fantastic. What a fun box. Now I need to round up a power supply or mod it for a boss style plug.

Mine showed up today. Whoever at Moog made the decision to hide the extra gain (and expanded parameters on some of the other Minifoogers, too) behind a thinly veiled attempt to sell more EP-3s should be fired. It's like two different pedals before and after plugging the expression jack.friendship wrote:Confirmed that the dummy plug technique works! I wonder if they make dummy plugs that are just a single 1/4" end with a cap.
Straight out of the box was a pretty hard meh, like many other reviews I've read, nice subtle color but not much in the way of boost (practically none in VCA mode) and felt kinda flat contrary to the manual's claims of "naturally occurring compression"... then dummy plug in, goddamn it sounds and feels good in both modes, great natural fatness that can also chime with the tone up, frankly more reminiscent of playing through something that probably would've been marketed as a light or "flavor" compressor instead of a boost by most other companies.

I kinda miss my boonar, but I never did enough with delay to feel like I deserved having one. It's definitely a lot of fun. Glad you like yours!MechaGodzilla wrote:The dip switch settings are backwards in the instructions but... fuck me, this is the nicest delay i've had the pleasure of messing withMechaGodzilla wrote:Out: TAFM

Just joined the Centurion preorder club, gold style. This will complete my Earthbound Audio dirt collection for the time being. The Pale Mare, Supercollider '71, Throat Locust, and Iron Pig are all solid options, so the Centurion should be a keeper as well.
The Digitech Ricochet arrived earlier this week. It handles chords with greater stability than a Whammy IV, though there are fewer pitch shifting options, the momentary mode causes audible latency (like a unison pitch shift always being active), and latching, while true bypass, doesn't toggle fast enough for rapid transitions. Still, latching mode is great for gradual, glitchy pitch glides in either direction.

OUT: my Line 6 DL4 that I've had since 2005.
IN: i finally gave into my curiosity and bought a Strymon El Cap that I found for $225.
Should be here Saturday.
I'm almost certain I'm gonna flip it though.

Condolences on parting with the greatest looper ever. Though the El Cap is pretty rad in it's own right with the lofi loop decay, plus the delays are much better than the DL4.
