After this's all over, I hope the U.S. gov't bills Trump for the damage he's done to our reputation

I didn’t even make it a minute into that inane drivel. The GOP is an evil, despicable collection of gits, to be sure, but being smug, condescending fuckwits about it does nothing to bring in new people. Didn’t those shallow brats learn anything from 2016?!

I wish we were back in the 90s when the GOP wasn’t AS wretched and actually had the occasional good idea. They kept the Dems innovative and the country was all the better for it.

Looking like Utah is going to legalize medical marijuana and flip a House seat. That is neat.

What's that Jello Biafra and Mojo Nixon jam? Nostalgia for an age that never existed?

The 90's are the era of Newt Gingrich and Anita Hill and fucking Jerry Falwell. It wasn't any better.

Missouri just legalized it, three years after I moved 2 miles across the state line into Kansas.

SIGH

But at least Kobach got shown the door - by a pansexual lady, no less...

Fair. All I remember from being a pre-teen in the 90s was the Monica Lewinsky scandal, Sandra Day O'Connor was a Justice, the Rodney King beatings, Anita Hill was all over the news (even though I was far too young to really understand everything leading up to it at the time), and that neither Ted Cruz or Donald Trump were driving this country apart at what feels like a breakneck pace. Oh to be young and naïve again :)*

Also super disgusted that barely half of all registered voters in Texas showed up to the polls yesterday, all because most of the urbanites stayed home. If even HALF of the registered voters in Dallas, Houston, and San Antonio had showed up and the percentages for Beto and Cruz were held constant, Beto would have picked up enough raw voters to be our next Senator. Meanwhile, almost all the registered voters in rural, bumfuck Texas rolled out and kept Cruz in his seat despite delivering nothing of value as a Senator the past six years other than "muh tradition and loyalty to the GOP." I wish I could dick around for 6 years and still collect $174k per year plus tax payer-funded expenses to have the privilege.

Here's hoping Monday's "I'm not interested in running for President in 2020" comment was just a politician being a politician on the eve of election day.

I salivate at the thought of Beto debating Trump.
