Yep. i bent a few and they sound real neat. I placed them in a metal cookie tin and also a small cardboard box as resonators and they both sound great. Will use a piezo on them. i do have one of those cranksturgeon piezos with a kill switch, so ill give that a try for sure.BetterOffShred wrote:Dude that's sweet as hell!! What are you going to do with them? Mechanically bend them and add a piezo with a momentary kill switch to create dope loops and drones?

So sick. I want to see how this turns out. I bought a big bag of piezos a while back and haven't done anything with them yet. Was thinking to copy UCs mods to the Faustus Black fly and now maybe put it in a DD and add a weird mechanical music box to it too.. so cool. Maybe a NO momentary to inject little blips into the audio steam. Now I'm getting all crazy thinking about adding a parallel blend, with a built in delay ..

nothing! Not a fucking thing! Well, I got a CT5 back but that was a week or two ago? I dunno. I want that new Meris pedal super bad but alas it's not in the stars at the moment.

Because the Bakvendt isn't due for three weeks *sigh* and the Moomindrone T is somewhere out there (might be here this week, fingers crossed), I've been trying very hard not to buy anything while I wait . . . forever.
So on the way soon, if not already, are a broken 80s Vox Chorus (£6 posted, so virtually free) and a Fuzzdog (uk pedal kit maker) Tremulus Lune Tremolo clone (for less than buying all the parts and building it myself).
I'm hoping that the tremolo will work as a cheap signal chopper for use with my Drone Thing, and if I can't get the chorus working the V-shaped enclosure should be big enough to put something else (probably non-chorus) in.

How many knobs is the lune ? I built a 7 knob clone recently, with the ramp mod and an external gain pot. It's a pretty good unit, it doesn't chop as hard as a FET trem, but it definitely gets some square wave. One of my favorite trems, it stays on my table for nightly jams almost always. I use it for the same thing, chopping up ambience created before it. I've been really enjoying the PDS to make and bend loops and then chop them with the lune. It's pretty bomb.

It's got three knobs and an internal gain control, I'll update when it arrives as to what I think of it.

Tossed the Mooer Mod Factory for this lil' number. I'm not a menu diver / programmer type guy, but I have to say, this thing is already miles away better than the Mooer. Pretty much has everything in it - low-fi, bit reducer, strange compression settings, double vibe/VHS warp shit...lots of fun for $85

Zoom makes the best affordable digital stuff across the board, from the G2 series to the H2 to the LiveTrak L-12.

The MS-70CDR was my primary modulation, reverb, and delay source for a period of time. The control interface feels a bit wonky for real time applications, and it doesn't seem to play nice with my tube head's effects loop, but the onboard effects are solid. I still keep one around as a backup.

Lots of stuff has arrived, just waiting on the delivery of the Bakvendt now . . .
New in: Moomindrone T / 80s Vox Chorus (bought super cheap because it doesn't work, but it does) / cheap kit Tremolo (Tremulus Lune Tremolo clone) which needs its internal gain pot turned up but otherwise is ok / Ghost Fax - wonderful!

The EHX Op Amp and Green Russian BMP reissues will soon be joined by a Triangle for a muffy trifecta. I can't wait to cascade all three together.

And I can't wait to hear your feedback (pun quasi-intended) on the Triangle. I've been feeling sorely tempted to buy it.ck3 wrote:The EHX Op Amp and Green Russian BMP reissues will soon be joined by a Triangle for a muffy trifecta. I can't wait to cascade all three together.
