Tides is somewhere on a truck between the post office and my house. They left a notice slip with no indication of when to pick it up and it hasn't made it to the post office yet. So I guess I'm hanging out at the post office for awhile...

Patchwerks has hosted a few synth meets (and they’re always fun) but this is the first Knobsenschitt.

Managed to snag my Tides 2 from the post and it's amazing! I really just want to use it as a sound source because it sounds so damned good, but it's also really good as a modulator. It's going to fit well in my setup.

rgehehhwhahehehhh. checking the tracking for my case it says -

"A detailed commodity breakdown with itemized description and values is required.Recommended action: Shipper or Importer must provide a statement or revised invoice with detailed commodity breakdown."

fucking..... FUCK. called FedEx, they forwarded a form they need filled out to me, sent that to Arjan at MDLR. the good thing is, it looks like it's already in Emeryville. FedEx is to call me back after researching it tomorrow. HOPEFULLY i can get the form filled out and sent to me from Arjan, then go and pick it up Monday? or forward it on and get it released and delivered soon.

but. FURK. ALWAYS SOMETHING.

That's super annoying and I really don't have anything constructive to add, but I have to say: fuck FedEx. I hate when someone ships something to me through FedEx. Every single time I get hit with some kind of fee a few months after receiving the item that's much higher than any tax that I would normally pay. They're absolute thieves.

Setup is complete. I went for something different this time: one rack dedicated to melody/harmony and the other rack dedicated to percussion (although it also can do a melody/bassline). Really excited to try it out, esp. because both can be run independently and don't NEED the other to be its own thing. Pics tomorrow. Off to try Rene+Tides before bed. :!!!:

I am zoning into this. Definitely enjoy the live feel of the recordings; lends an immediacy to the proceedings. "Logging off" and "Unfolding" especially cause enjoyable zones to manifest for me.

Curious how you did it, this was after receiving a door tag for a missed delivery and you managed to get it from the station the same day with USPS? Trying to calculate my chances of doing similar

Canada Post, but yeah pretty much the same thing. They're pretty good around here. They usually attempt delivery by 1PM and it's usually at the post office by the time I get home from work at 3:30PM.

Basic patch with Tides2 through a 3 Sisters, sequenced by Rene2, with some string from Rings and processing from Clouds/PicoDSP/Freez/Magneto.
Stages and Marbles provide some modulation. Clocked by Trigger Riot + Tempi.

I really like how Rene sequences. The two separate sequencers in X and Y are really great (every parameter can be set differently including key) and the Cartesian sequencer is a lot of fun for a third voice (although it's not being utilized here). I haven't even scratched the surface of it.

Also Freez's lofi filter is fucking awesome. Took my Lo-fi Junky out of the rack entirely.

You should try clocking the Cartesian sequencer with Meadowphysics

Also, I totally sold my Rene at the perfect time, so many v1s on the used market now... Not gonna lie if I scope one for less than $250 I'm gonna have a hard time not buying it.

Well, I thought I might be getting a Rene 2 today, but instead I got a cool door tag and will have to wait until Monday to trade it for my module. This weekend sucks already!
