Recently realised I've never posted a synth setup on here despite playing around with stuff for a while.

I've gone through a few things before, microbrute, electribe, volca beats. But this stuff suits my needs pretty well for now.

Beatstep can sync/control all the other 3 things, and I can process the sample and microkorg through the modular, so there's a lot of potential for fun. Sadly I don't have room for it all to be always plugged in. :(

Yes it's a lot of fun. Would be cool to have it all plugged in on a board, with a mixer and a couple of pedals though. Very long term goals, using my bed as a table will do for now

My current synth setup. Not sure if the Keystep will last since I've had no luck with the cv out tracking but we'll see. I also have a Volca Sample that might be on the chopping block soon, it just doesn't have much to offer over the OP-1.

I like this a lot. And it's aesthetically appealing for some reason.

It is very aesthetically appealing!

Also, greyscales, hit me up if you decided to pass on the Keystep. I've got some stuff in the BST that I'm trying to trade for one

Aw, you guys.

I'm going to try to calibrate the Keystep and see how I like it after. Might not commit to it if the OP-Z can do CV/Gate out, but that'll be a while out.

All plugged in (this is a hassle)

But I made some noises.

The pluck melody was a bit out of tune with the microkorg annoyingly so I was riding the pitch knob on the korg. Need to sort that out.

You are def putting the volca to better use than I did. I love the sound of those drums!

It sounds so good! I haven't even loaded any more samples than the ones you had in, these drum samples are great! Might swap some of the ones I never touch out for more drums though.

Oh right! I did add a bunch of quite nice drum samples to it at one point. It's only my samples up until half or something, I don't really remember

They're probably yours then. I like the first half of the sample bank that's cool drums a lot.

I'm sure I'll get into using it for other sorts of samples at some point but for now I'm super happy with it as a drum machine.

Here's my current setup.
I just got the Roland SE-02 in today. It likely won't stay where it is; I'm thinking of picking up a laptop stand and putting it behind/above the Sub 37.
I'm currently running the Sub 37 through the RKM and Mercury 7. I love the Sub 37/Mercury 7 pair, but I'm not totally sold on the Sub 37 and RKM. Not sure why because I love the RKM :idk: I'm going to give it a few more tries, but I might end up moving the RKM to the pedal board and finding a different delay for the Sub 37.
The DX-7 and Avalanche Run pair is absolutely amazing! I'm kind of wanting to add some kind of glitch pedal to the pair, maybe a newer Count to 5 or a Stamme(n). I also want a Keystep to work with the DX-7 (and the No Coast).
