Nice ! The vintage phantoms are super badass but pretty expensive..
I'd have suggested you to take a look at PGW before you buy these vox reissue, they are more true to the originals, you also have some options like matching headstock/neck, bound neck, and it feels really solid.
But I hope you like it ! You might have a hard time playing sitted at the beginning but you get used to it.

I've been trying to figure out what algorithm I'll grab with my free voucher, but I'll probably mess around with the H910/H949 for awhile before I decide.
I've wanted to try both of those pedals out for a while. Let me know how you like the H9 with synths, especially modular. Seems like a great unit to have with all of its reverb and delay algorithms. Especially interested in how it compares to the Avalanche Run.
I'll let you know how I get along with them and how it compares to the Avalanche Run!
So I got the H9 Core yesterday and finally got a chance to play it a bit today. I'm absolutely blown away; the interface is incredibly intuitive, syncing my phone was surprisingly easy, and it sounds really, really good. I just flipped through a few presets and tweaked some values here and there, but I immediately found so many usable sounds.
Also, as I suspected, the H9 is much more deep than the Avalanche Run. They both sound great, but the H9 can just do so much more. I'm sure I could even patch up an Avalanche Run preset in the H9. That being said, I love my Avalanche Run too and won't be selling mine any time soon.
I'm going to audition a bunch of the algorithms this weekend to try and decide which one I'm going to use my free voucher on
I've let a few pedals go, and currently the only thing on the way is a 200w light bulb so I can try and get a better picture of the pedals I have left (still lots)
Which one? The old solid state ones with blue trim? I had one of those. It was ok...I liked it better than my cheapy Randall from the early 2000s. I don't remember liking any distortion channels on those old solid states of that era compared to my beta lead, but that's why pedals exist. It had a high noise floor, but every amp in that studio did too. Under $100, sure why not?
The original 5150 combo is still one of my favorite amps though.

Scorpion were the speakers right? They are usually called classic or something like that. If it's local and you get to try it first and you like it, why not. 300 might be high though...get em down. It's been thirteen years since I've played one though (and I seem to remember there being lots of different ones that all kinda looked the same made over a long period).
Scorpions speakers are good (at least I liked em). The one I had had some weird speakers that I don't remember. Still better than that era of Randall.
Try it!
Whatcha playing now?
Just my opinion, but older Yamaha, jazz chorus, sunn, etc solid state amps are better to me. Some Peavey are great though (as are some Randall's)..too many to say which one is good though.

alright, right now..a mixer going into a 20w peavey and 20w crate....ive had these for over 10 yrs now, for home/garage use, and ive spent obviously way to much time finding sounds threw devices other than upgrading to other amps, which is finally coming to pass. I dont really know what is good or not, since ive just used these two for so long, never gave me a problem and using them both at the same time is really good... though, its time to move on....if the price is right just gonna be one of those moments when you come across some beat up beauty somewhere and she sounds good enough to take home.
amps for harsh noise synth stuff? wanted to get a bass amp and do this
Maybe a preamp, power amp, PA style setup would be good. Sometime you can pick up some ok deals from failed wedding DJs and stuff.
My old bass player used an old, thrashed ampeg 4x10 and two PA cabs with 15s I think (tweeters too, but he may have disconnected them). He ran I think two crown power amps and had a bass preamp. He used it for his keys before. It was loud and reliable but reasonably priced...I think his rack bass preamp was the most expensive thing (and there are a ton more options now than 12 years ago).
I think he had a mixer for a harsh noise setup too. Which was kind of our fallback/no downtime thing or LG-lite.
He used this setup with a Juno 60 and sidstation after the Roland keyboard amp kept frying. Then he adapted it bass (his pedalboard was like big muff bubble Russian, vintage dmm, giga delay, space station, whammy iv, and some other dirt's).
