Great! It's a cool synth. Don't hesitate to ask me questions about it.
First tip that I can give: turn up the HPF peak to about "4" and adjust HPF cutoff to your taste. This will add "ooomph" to your bass sounds. The MS-20 is often said to be too lame for bass leads. That's just not true. :D

I just ordered a keyboard stand and bench so I can practice piano* without sitting on the floor. I'm hoping that practicing piano will help make me more creative.

*using a casio keyboard from the 1990s that I inherited from my niece and only the "piano" sound works.
This is a very impressive collection of Roto Toms. That's 21 Roto Toms in all. That is only $33.00 a Roto Tom.

Hey thanks :) I thought peak had to be maxed for that, I'll try turning it down a bit!
I won an auction for a volca sample on ebay too! Can't wait to mess with both togheter.

Regarding the MS20 (and $200 is a great price btw) : use a mono to stereo splitter and double the output back into the external input and then tweak things to taste. You can get lovely overdriven sounds that way.

I'm talking about the high pass filter, not the low pass filter. Most people think that the high pass filter must be minimized for bass sounds. But the MS-20's HPF is an underestimated tool for achieving better bass sounds.

Tip for all bass sounds - boost the [low] mids! be conservative with boosting the sub/bass!

Oh, sorry! And while I think about it ... I believe that I always had the cutoff on 4, and peak indeed quite maxed. I mixed that up, I fear! I really need to play my MS-20 mini again!

Welp, my christmas ended up being lit, just later on.

My mom got me a J Macsis Jazzmaster coming via sweetwater by the end of the month. A buddy of mine also sold me his Squier Vintage modified Jaguar for dirt cheap.

So I went from never even playing ether type of guitar to owning both. Not a bad way to start the year. :!!!: :!!!: :!!!:

Fender Toronado is on the way. Was my first guitar long ago but I stupidly sold it. Pumped to have one again.
