New cab incoming! 70s Ampeg VT-22 2x12. Original Eminence square back speakers. Looks pretty clean for its age.

Agreed. It will be paired with various perc variants in my current collection during the coming weekend.

Congrats. Definitely interested in hearing more when it arrives. :hello:

I just pulled the trigger on an affordable, second-hand Zvex Machine, which will likely unleash a whole other layer of stank with various bitcrushers, octave fuzzes, and the like.
Only had 2 hours with it last night so far, but very impressed. It's got a massive range of uses/tones - into front of amp as OD/distortion/fuzz, or into FX loop return as a preamp. Even though the EQ is only two bands, it's got a huge range, and being pre-gain they are very interactive with the Gain knob. It has ungodly volume and bass capabilities so it can even dooom with ease. I'd be curious to compare it to his Model feT preamp.
Duum Incredible? :doom:

Gearnuts is offering the Way Huge Havalina for 42% off (via Reverb and Amazon), so I grabbed one. Perhaps this will be a Tonebender variant I end up keeping. :idk:

It's crazy how different benders can be, even ones that are supposed to be based on the same model. What are you looking for sound-wise?

I really wish I had kept my Sonar, if just for the Machine half of it. It’s fucks with dirt in such a cool way

In: Digital Music Corp MX-8 MIDI patchbay/merger/router. Not exciting to most here but it means that my shoegaze rack is a step closer to being self aware, and at least can be centrally controlled in the near term. Need to wire it up and RTFM.

Agreed. After tinkering with a germanium Mkii clone and the Maxon Wind, I'm finding the level of overall tinniness and/or flub to be a bit much. The Maxon Wind has a nifty buzziness to it, but vintage mode has virtually no low end, and the modern setting sounds less crunchy. The Bigtone Music Brewery Anthology "Supabritt" mode was one of my first Tonebender experiences and probably more of what I'm seeking in terms of texture, which means silicon may ultimately be the way to go. :idk:
