I have no interest in the Zadar either. I think it's because it doesn't really fit in with Xaoc's other modules. Everything in their line is super immediate and easy to use, but packed with Little secrets if you spend the time with them. Zadar seems to be the exact opposite of that

that's..... a good description. it looks like it does NEAT stuff, but i'm not into menu diving on a small screen.

Pam's is simple and ease of use layout minded that i'm good with it, everything else Depth Of Menu i've tried at that size.... nurp. no thank you.

looking at you Plonk.

..... i do kinda want a Transient again.

As a Zadar owner, you just described it perfectly.

It's super fast to get around, it's all knob-per-function, and the screen is very fast, and informative. I love love love it.

speaking of complexity vs simple butts goodness.... kinnnnnnd of thinking about grabbing a Monsoon. i like the idea of Clouds a LOT, but the implementation is just.... so furking flawed.

curious if i'd dig one broken out to more Ready To Moop control options.

Maybe get it later when you guys are through with it
There's enough sounds to go around inside the Donut.

Finally had a real chance to play with mine last night and the depth of sounds is amazing. I lost a couple hours exploring. And then I was tired at work.

https://www.instagram.com/p/Btzgqlcldl5/ This is essentially what I did for Freq Boutique the other night. There really does seem to be a lot of usable more pleasant sounds then all the gnarliness people talk about would make you think. Bottom line, don't worry about copying. There's so much going on it would be almost impossible to do anyways.

Dude I was listening to this a few times earlier today. What a great fucking tone that is.

Been thinking about this one or one of those crazy E352's. I've been burnt by big complex oscillators before so I'm trying to be patient lol.

Thanks! It just has this grit to it that's awesome, but also with so much depth. The constant VCO sound you hear is the HD3 on the instagram video. The HD3 also running into the filter on the BDS with v/o control 5-6 octaves up (and me wiggling the pitch knob).

I actually just uploaded my set from Freq Boutique on Monday to bandcamp. It starts off with a combo of HD3 and and two other VCOs through an Ultrafold (just the 2 VCOs, HD3 is on it's own). There's some filtering using the Entity BDS to start, but the rest of it is really just wavefolding and FM. There is some filtering in the effects loop later, but it's not pronounced. Somewhere in the middle I take out the other 2 VCOs, but then add them back in at the very end. Other voice(s) are the Spectrum VCO through dual borg and BIA. They're playing the same notes but with octaves being messed with. Main sequencing by ER-101/102 with loop progression managed by the 102 so worst case it'll still step through everything in time. 101 was also controlling WMD Triad/Arpitecht for the "Chord" sequencing on the HD3/2 VCOs. Other three channels on 101 are Chimera, Fracture, and Entity BDS. Effects loop 1 is Mutable Ripples->Chronoblob V1, Effects loop 2 is Erbe Verb->DLD. Maths/Batumi/Blinds/Ultra Random Analog for modulation. PNW for a clock. That's basically everything.

Not sure if anyone saw the new algos for the Disting mk4 but one is a 43 minute clockable stereo delay.

I might need another one now because that's insane.

45 minutes actually. Seems like it can easily be used for sound on sound looping since you can clock it.
