Interesting. Curious now, how much do those cost?

He gave me two different neck profiles that you can choose from, one is really thick and the other not as much, but definitely not thin.

He's publicly mentioned the price a few times now so I hope I'm not treading on any toes by saying this: prices start at about $2000-ish I believe.

Guy who makes them is super, super communicative, really invested in keeping people up to date with the process and is more than happy to answer whatever dumbass questions you (I) ask him. He's winding his own pickups, can do a bunch of body shapes, but has his own which is a bit Rickenbacker 660-like, which is what I've got coming in walnut with two P90s, they come with a hardcase, you get a choice of ebanol or aluminium fretboard (construction appears to be very similar to a Denison neck), with a current turnaround time of 3-4 months.

I'm very excited to get my hands on mine, and to start getting feedback from others. I really hope this is what convinces EGC that maybe, just maybe considering answering the emails of people who have given you thousands of dollars is a worthwhile idea.

Anyone else find that their EGC takes FOREVER for the strings to stop stretching?

It seems to take a few hours of playing for the tuning to straighten out, and then it holds its tune forever. I do the tugs every 2 frets or so a few times on each string, which works great on woody's.



Also note that I'm tuning to C standard with EB skinny top heavy bottom strings

well, if you're tuning that low it's no wonder. you might want to try tuning it up to F and letting it sit for a day or 2 so the strings will stretch, and then going back to your normal pitch.

10-52 in C standard is going to be pretty floppy. Try kicking up to Daddario's 12-60 set and see if your stability improves. Aluminum necks generally take a gauge or two heavier to feel the same as a wood neck in my experience.

I have 14-68 on mine and I have it tuned to B standard. I like em a lot and they dont really take longer than normal to stretch out.

Same here, but mine is a baritone(27,5"), so even more tension.

So far so good! I haven't noticed any issues with mine. When I was first thinking of tuning that low Kevin recommend the string gage and told me these guitars do extremely well with low tuning.

EGC humbucker can be split coil, correct?

anyone know which wires I use or have any wiring diagrams for this? have it wired standard humbucker right now but might mod/rewire it this weekend...

This might do the trick, pickup wire colors should be pretty universal.
