Which flavor of Bye Bias? I have both the Si and Ge version, and I couldn't say which is my favorite.
no idea, actually. i don't think it's marked on the housing -I'll have to look under the hood when it arrives, I suppose.
The Si has four knobs, and the Ge has five. They're both great, but they have different strengths. Basic Audio rocks.
Ok, it’s an Si in that case. How would you describe those different strengths?
The Si version has more edge cases. It can get fairly crumbly, and gated.
The Ge version is a better all-rounder; it's smoother, and cleans up fairly well. It has some interesting nooks and crannies, but not as many as the Si version.
They both have a unique voice, and I'm happy I have them both.
Volante seems like it would be easier to use under the influence, but I was selling myself on it because of presets, etc, and could i do all that? It's iffy.
I'm looking forward to again moving DMM knobs with my feet while fearfully zooted.
Side note - this is also why recording with computers is not my favorite. Operating a mouse in this condition is a dragggggg.
