Re: 856 for ZELLERSASN
Hey Scott!
It's now a LOT later in April … what's the reason for the hangup with the "fixed" FW for 856FZ?
It's still done? Nudge nudge wink wink.

Re: 856 for ZELLERSASN
I just realized that the instructions for changing the midi channel read as if there are four top row switches. Mine has three switches on top. Can someone tell me how to change my 856Z to channel 2?

Re: 856 for ZELLERSASN
OK, I'll bite - it looks like the 4 switches referred to are ordered like the layout of the original 856fZ.
So on a newer unit with the modified layout the switches are ordered like this:
Switch 1 = N1, N2, N3 (Top left hand)
Switch 2 = Free, R=B, ARec (Bottom right hand)
Switch 3 = Free, Quant, Skip (Top right hand)
Switch 4 = P1, P2, P3 (Top middle)
Seems to work like this for me.

Re: 856 for ZELLERSASN (fw 1.6 released)
Here is a link to the latest firmware for the V2 units (devices with expression and midi through jacks) and respective manual. The update instructions for the V1 boards will be a bit different but we will have a version 1.6 firmware with the same updates/changes available for V1 in the next week or so.
http://mtlasm.blogspot.com/p/firmware-u ... 6-for.html
http://mtlasm.blogspot.com/p/856-for-ze ... pdate.html
There are some small bug fixes and then some functional changes to the way the pedal works.
Most notable changes are:
Stride now accumulates over beats. I think this is how most people expected it to be from the original description. See the stride description in the manual for details.
Feedback can work a bit differently, there are now 2 fbk modes. One will only feedback note 1, one will as before feedback all 3 notes. See FADE/GAIN/FBK section in manual.
Limiter on wet signal. Now there is some limiting/compression in the dsp to avoid hard clipping which could occur when many notes play at once.

Re: 856 for ZELLERSASN (Firmware 1.6 released, last page)
YAY!!! Thanks, Scott!
Haven't had a chance to do the update yet but looking over the new docs there seems to be a problem with the "Envelope time at ENV positions" graphic. At least when viewing the docs online with Chrome browser.
and THANKS AGAIN. I sincerely hope all is well with you.
