Snagged one of the digitech obscure delays and the mini expression pedals from pitbull audio. The delay is pretty cool but the exp pedal seems a little cheap. Although I haven't had a chance to use it because my trs cables are packed away.

Rolled some change (so many twonies!) and realized I had a bit of spending money, so I just ordered myself a Zoom MS-70CDR. Because I don't have enough absurd delays + reverbs.

Note to self to go over the Zoom megathread.

A Barge Concepts BB-Jr should be in route soon. Bee Baa variants are still among my favorite fuzzes. I plan to conduct direct comparisons with a Maxon Fuzz Elements Fire, Stomp Under Foot Son of a Bee, and Earthbound Audio Pale Mare shortly after it arrives.

Also added a discounted Jim Jones Cult of Tone Hybrid Fuzz (Harmonic Percolator variant) to the pile. The coming weeks will include much perc and Bee Baa stacking goodness.

:joy: I should have bought a Fire when they were $100 recently...though I'm currently building a BeeBaa to compare to my original. We'll see how it stacks up.

I covet your original AF-100, which is a version I have yet to try. Someone once told me about a Japanese auction site where OG Bee Baas sometimes sell for more reasonable prices. Maxon will probably have a Memorial Day sale if you're looking for a cheaper Fire. I almost grabbed a 2nd one when they were under $90 new on Amazon.

 One of my favorites as well. I got a great price on it, but it's missing the top logo plate where the foot switches are. Have been meaning to make a new one. Just keep a steady watch and an original will pop up. Mine came from Japan via Ebay a couple years back. Now I just need to find a cheap Double Beat!...I'll keep an eye out for one of the Maxon sales, thanks for the tip. Interested to hear your thoughts after you compare all those variants :snax: ...You a boost mode fan or no? I know some people don't find it useful, but I like it. Would choose that over the scoop foot switch (at least in the stock configuration) if I couldn't have both.

The only variants with boosts I've tried are the original Barge Concepts BB-1, Super Electric Bee Baby, and Black Cat Bee Buzz, all of which seemed to accentuate different frequencies. The fuzz function has always appealed to me more, probably because I never had an opportunity to hit t00bz with any of the aforementioned boosts.

Sounds like you've had just about every BeeBaa based pedal out there! What's your favorite of the bunch?...Have you tried the BAT Black Sheep?

The BAT Black Sheep has a weird tone stack and needs to be fed into a dirty tube amp to sound like any of the manufacturer demos. I actually thought mine was defective and ended up returning it. Black Cat's Bee Buzz is similar, though can sound okay (albiet more spitty than I prefer) without additional post gain saturation. The Lone Wolf Audio Black Goat is another variant I previously owned that hit most marks decently, and prior experience with another Barge Concepts BB-jr was favorable (not entirely sure why I sold it). My current favorite of the lot is the Earthbound Audio Pale Mare with the Maxon Fire a close second and SUF Son of a Bee growing more on me each time it sees action (though still sounding a bit too scooped for the most part). I'd definitely like to try an original at some point as well as the Anarchy Audio Baa Bzz, Effects Bank Nolk, Black Cat Wee Buzz, Out Sound Warthog, and Prophecysound Black Sheep.
