whatever the fuck this is:

diy ringmod - > 856 -> reverb as some kind of improvised wendy carlos cacophony

only sound sources are the occasional guitar noise/ebow, and the ringmod oscillators

we just released our first album. you can stream it wherever you do your thing (search: "TRVSS ABSENCE" to avoid confusing us with another band that apparently doesn't have access to Google)

I listened to The Prophecy of Parasites, Conversions 1946, and Late Night Monologue, and I liked all 3 tracks! I loved all the wild abandon that gave it its energy. I will definitely check out the rest down the road a bit.

I've decided to cease filling the forum with endless Sonic Koalas video links, so if anyone fancies keeping up with my nonsense they'll have to either keep an eye on YouTube or this new thing I've found called Twitter :) where I can be found as @creedy_paul

So here's the last link:

Also album is up, also has cello on almost half of it :idk:
Did you play it, or did you get someone? Either way super exciting. I'm just curious if you sought a collaborator for this Ice Bear project.
We can take it to the 'Post Your Tunes' thread.
Yeah, I played the cello, I can get by on the thing if I have to, it's a lot easier to play than a bass, it's just getting use to the 5th tuning thing... and it's so small..
But also yes there is collaboration on this one I had someone who I work with on other stuff a lot play drum and some shaker on this one. I plan on more of this in the future, I'm kinda sick of being in a vacuum  and I can't play drums/percussion worth shit and also I am interested in winds and reeds for down the road :thumb:

That sounds very cool, it's an interesting mix of computer sounds and live sounds (or at least more 'live sounding').

What's your process for making this stuff? Do you use a max msp patch to generate riffs/drum patterns then play over it? What is the structure/function of the patches? Do the patches generate whole songs? Combined with some deliberate MIDI programming? I'm curious how the material was composed.

Yeah... I didn't listen to it that night  I'm listening now. 'Sacred Horn' and 'The Sacrifice' are A C E :thumb: . So far, you really out did yourself on this release. Your sound quality... is really, really, good too! I have all your releases and I remember them all having above average 'sound quality' but this sounds professional grade (like when professional film composers HAVE TO record in dolby 5.1).

I'm calling specific attention to this not because I value sound quality (ARIEL PINK 'The Doldrums' is one of my all time favorite albums so enough said there...)... I just want to give credit where it is due. Whatever you are doing... keep doing it. It also comes across you paid A LOT of attention to getting specific overtones. The tracks are so harmonically rich. This is going to require lots of re-listens on my end. The sort of album where you will always pick up something new on each listen.

I guess I'm very into Tr00bearzKvlt music!!!

ADDENDUM: Oh my goodness 'What Came Before The Time Before' stole my heart! I'm so happy there are people out there like you just doing their own thing.

 Thanks!it means a lot! I recorded these a while ago and shelved it because I was unhappy with the sound, I was feeling all my recordings were drifting together.. a lot of it was letting go of using logic... which while being a easy daw to use fast to get ideas out is not the best sounding... so we took all the raw stems and changed to studio 1 with universal audio plug-ins... [yes I could have done this all along... ] For what it's worth out of all the daws I've used over the last... [we wont go there] years Studio 1 has the most uneffected sound on the file saving end... so yeah the sound was agonized over :omg: I'm also glad What Came Before The Time Before caught your ear as that is actually the first one written for this and set the whole concept off.. It was written on an easter after a lot of thinking about Joseph Campbellesque thoughts about stuff.. anyway thanks!
