what are the pitchforks set up to?
How are they used?
thanks for the compliment
One of the pitchforks is set to -1 semitone, full wet, momentary. I use it mostly for a track that absolutely requires the sound/timbre of the open low E string but also needs a low Eb note a few times during a passage later in the track. Previously I had it set to -2 semitones so I could also 'fake' drop D/down D tunings by switching from momentary to latching on other tracks. But since I've switched to a .102 Kalium low E on my 30,5" Nude Guitars baritone/bass VI tuning to actual drop D has become possible tension-wise (this wasn't the case on my 30" Fender Pawn Shop VI with a .095 LaBella low E). Drop D has become a usable tuning for 3 songs we play but not for that exact track, which is why it's set to -1 semitone now for that low Eb while in E standard.
The other pitchfork is set to +1 octave, full wet, momentary. I mostly use it on
the same track mentioned above when I play a lead line high up on the neck that shifts between 'normal' octave/+1 octave every few notes. I repeat the line 4 times, and play those 4 repetitions 3 times, ascending in octaves. The first time I alternate between dry/+1 oct on the whammy, the second time I alternate between dry but 1 octave higher than before on the highest strings/+1 oct on the whammy, the third time I alternate between high notes on the high strings with +1 oct on the whammy already pressed down/+1 oct up additionally via the pitch fork.
You can hear it in action if you like:

the low E comes in for the first time in the first passage that starts at 0:44, the part in which I use the pitchfork to shift from low E to low Eb starts at 2:33, the part in which I use the other pitchfork to shift the octave up as momentary effect starts at 7:06
