This case looks super-dope! So many sweet drum modules @ hi-density. I'll have to look into what the Metron does. I'm pretty committed to the Trigger Riot / Amoeba combo but wouldn't mind having an x0x-style sequencer in modular at some point to bring me back to the halcyon days of my youth when the Elektron Machinedrum was my 1 and only.

Here is where I'm at currently for a drums / bass / noise groove box monster --- so... much... space... My next goal is to incorporate some prettier textural elements. Not sure if Morphagene or Just Friends or what. Will continue to pore over tomes of modular lore.

that is some solid, solid loots.

do the KARP and DU-KRPLS sound way different from each other?

Amoeba is a more glitchy, Beat-Tek take on MI Grids?

still want just a huge rack on Non Linear Circuits stuff, no idea what it's doing or what to do with it, just HAPPY WITH THE PRETTY WEIRDIES.

also also, in addition to the Mother 32, going to list my Monome Arcs. super neat, but i can't find another Ansible and want to focus on learning Grids.

KARP gets better snare sounds and DU-KRPLS gets better hat sounds. Both can become digital fuck-hounds but I use them for noisy snare + hats.

Amoeba can be glitchy or normal or cellular automata or mathematics. But yeah, it's Grids chewing five gum at once. I love it.

Nonlinear Circuits stuff is powerful juju. I have a bunch of modules un-racked and I'm not ashamed to say I basically collect them at this point, whenever I see a good deal. The Numberwang and Let's Splosh make sense when you use them (unlike Squid Axon and, and, and...) - they chop up trigs (Numberwang) and CV / audio (Splosh). The Splosh is so useful when you run a few Dixie LFO outputs into it... you end up with subtly tweaked LFO parameter for making good on your promise to cause modules to howl / feel good.

Monome things are so elegant and minimal and lifestyle but the Arc never made any goddamn sense to me. It's... very expensive encoders? Grid I can see as a multifarious intuitive polymorphous interface but Arc is just some spins, homey. Good luck with the sale.

behndy, did you Norns yourself? I am highly curious but also not a computer program man.

lol. had Norns, never did anything without because i realized it was YET ANOTHER DEEP YET DISTINCT INTERFACE. had some amazing built in apps though?

yah. Arcs looks SO good with pc integration, super limited with just modular/Ansible. chatting with someone that's interested in grabbing Arcy and the Mother.

which.... means.... TALK ME OUT OF GRABBING AN ANALOGUE SOLUTIONS GENERATOR.

and or an Amoeba.

I bought behndy's Norns and I couldn't be happier with it. It does so much, yet I found it pretty easy to just dive in and start exploring. The community is also awesome, and is making some really cool stuff.

lol. it went to a VERY GOOD HOME.

yah. it's awesome. just not what i'm looking to roll with right now.

blurf. after reading a bunch the Generator looks neaaaat, but not really what i want to dive into now. i get the whole analogue approach, but.... no quantizing would annoy me. and it's more desk space than i'd want to give up.

I'm holding back because I had an Organelle and just couldn't... program it or anything and Norns seems even more obscure. I also don't use computer for music. Also, some of the apps on there look like hot fire.

Hey, funny story. So when I sold the Organelle this woman got in touch with me saying "My husband birthday in two days can you send Organelle right away" and I said "yes" and sprung for infinity fast shipping as a good-karma-protection thing. The next day, this guy eMails me like "is there still Organelle?" and I said "NO!" - Well, the following day the same guy eMails me like "I got your Organelle anyway, man." And that is my favorite selling-gear story.

That's awesome! I like when stuff like that happens.

I was in the same boat with the Organelle. It was just a ton of option paralysis and a user interface that I just didn't love.

Doink. Thanks for the heads-up. Just Friends ordered and on the way. I also nabbed a cheap Intellijel Shifty (from muffs) so I can rotate my kicks and shit. Stoked.

murrrrrf. would love to TAKE ADVANTAGE, but they're in LA, so i get hit with 10% tax, so it's noooot really worth Spontaneous Purchasing.

however. i keep going back and forth on that AnalSol Generator. i have my cred cards paid off, all Responsible Spending taken care of, 3 day trip to San Diego next weekend and her bday trip to Cabo in October paid down...... and a g plus floating in my PayPal from moving Mother and Arc 4.

DILEMMA.

lol. and fuck it. ordered a Generator.

it DOES have a quantized out. goes in semi tones, no scales, but will probably use it with the Intellijel quantizer.

set up and dived into the Grid, it's not for me. gonna list that and my Ansible.

edit - lol. annnnnd apparently an ADAC 207 (the INTUITIVE) Quad Quantizer as well. looks like the main 3 CV outs on the Genny are unquantized, just the touch pad CVs are quantized to semi-tones.

EXCITED.
