Its so amazing like this but I think ultimately this board will end up housing my Klein bottle and Count to 5. The 856 is being used as a looper mostly. I havent done much w the AREC mode but this setup would benefit from that Oh So Much!

This looks like a really fun tabletop setup. Given the monophonic nature of the PLL circuits, how does it react to layered loops? Doesn't it get too cacophonic? (I mean, unless that's what you want it to do  )

I have the last one, I think I bought it last January or February to replace the older version (no quantize switch) I used to have.
And yes, so far I'm not having any problem! I don't know if it can get a little noisier only on certain settings :idk:

Board with a few changes after our first couple of gigs. Still probably a couple more changes coming, but overall I'm very happy with this setup.

Three rows boards have always been my nightmare, I barely get to the second row without moving the knobs of the first one with my foot. don't know how you guys can do it. :idk:

How do you fit 15 pedals in two rows? Also, I've seen a lot of people taping their knobs.

(No, not *those* knobs, you dirty dog.)

Bdsm pedalboards

And what about live knobs tweaking?

Right now I have 14 pedals in two rows (see previous page), and consider that the POG and the power supply take more than half of the space of the second row, so I could easily fit 17-18 pedals here with a board that allows the power supply to be underneath.

Anyways, besides the three rows thing, bigchiefbc board looks fun and with plenty of weird sounds waiting to be played. Love the Moog Ring Mod

Oh wow! The pic is cropped in the forum view here, so I didn't view the full size image until now. How wide is that board, Dowi? Mine's 600mm (times 500), and it's a right PITA to carry 'round as-is...

i think it's probably around 70cm, gonna measure it tomorrow and let you know, anyway it's not that heavy, i used to have a giant rockcase (with three rows of pedals) when i toured EU for the first time: a nightmare. Heavy and giant.

*EDIT: found a pic of it, awwww the memories.

It does occasionally happen that I'll graze a knob in the 2nd row when turning on a back row pedal, but I'm usually extra careful doing so. The only back row pedal that I hit multiple times in a song is the Switchblade, and the Moog knobs are far enough away for it to not be a big deal.

I'd love to move to a wider, thinner board and go 2 rows, but the Moog really messes with the ability to do that. And it's a really crucial part of my board, I use it on at least half of our songs. Some times as just a weird ugly sounding distortion, sometimes for a chimey bell sound, and one song I use it as a messed-up sounding vibrato.

got my first proper pedalboard today and this is where i am at after using chunks of wood or playing on floors for pretty much my whole life:

runs rucci mixer > accountant > tetanus booster > rm1n > driving notion > zoom > ampeg bass preamp > ditto x4

this does pretty much everything i want for live stuff, recording, and is a clang gang rodeo. runs multiple instruments in with ease. and is relatively compact. only see small things changing with it in the future like a lighter powersupply, etc. also need to buy a patch cable to hook up top row to the bottom
