ugh. i did the stupidest thing. when my last phone was dying, i went from an 8 inch tablet to a 10.5 inch tablet. which, AWESOME. but while the last phone MOSTLY fit pockets in shorts/pants, this one? no way. so my wife got me a sexy nice man purse to carry my phone.

i also stashed porta-game stuff in there.

i'm kinda in a fucked place right now (we're letting go of my 16 year old pup tomorrow, i've been a wreck), so i.... left my bag in the cart next to my car after unloading groceries and.... drove away. went to my shop, did stuff, realized my stupidity, drove back and of course it was gone. checked with the store, no one turned it in.

inside was my Switch, my favorite 8bitdo controller (the PS4 looking buggeriboo), the Safe For Switch smaller Anker charger, pair of wired and Bluetooth headphones, Swtich stand, cases for all to fit snug.

bkehehrhehegh. so dumb. did find a local shop with the same grey sides Switch i liked, have replaced all the things except the Zelda Joycon, that will be a wait till the shop has them in stock. didn't really want to spend 4 to 5 hundy to replace things right now, worst part though is every single save file is wiped.

tl;dr - dumbassery made me need to replace my Switch, biggest loss was the save files i guess?

I would contact the shop again to make sure the cart boy didn't run off with it. :idk:

yah. it's a Safeway. talked to customer service manager 3 times. they don't really care it's goneeeeee.

lol. my hope is that someone found it and gave it ti their kid or something. not a drug trade thing.

apparently you can log out of all Nintendo ID attached devices, so they don't have access to my account. but then you set one Switch on your account as Primary, all others can only play installed games 30 minutes without logging in. so whoever got it got a very limited demo of each game?

damn behndo, that really sucks! i'd be heartbroken if i lost my switch.

i was lucky to get some games for xmas

Pokémon shield - it's pokeymans, but BIGGER N BETTER. love it.
death stranding - not fired it up yet, i know it's a big time commitment

Link's Awakening. now, i've probably played through the original LA and the colour version more times than any other game. they made a game that looks and sounds like the original *FELT*. the music keeps on punching me in my emotion sack. i love being Link, i am in love with Marin and Koholint. because i know the original so well, i dove into the hard mode and it's been pretty brutal.

I got BOTW in the mail last night, but I'm working on one of the SNES titles on virtual console and want to get to a save point before I back out of that game... not sure how the virtual consoles handle that. But I've been enjoying the old school RPG-ness of it all.

Speaking of which... I picked up the Nintendo Online family package since my FIL bought a switch because he likes old school mario and zelda. I still have like 5 spots open in case anyone wants to jump on it.

Why does Obsidian keep repeating the story of KoTOR II and Van Buren?

Don't get me wrong, I wanna play Outer Worlds when it gets ported to switch.

each game has 4 save state slots that you can save at *any* time. hit ZL+ZR to bring up that menu.

Thanks! I saw that was the button combo for the rewind but I didn't realize it brought up a menu or anything. Good to know.

Played KCD this Christmas. It's pretty much simultaneously underrated and overrated. The gameplay is great. The story... isn't exactly Baldur's Gate or Planescape: Torment, to put it lightly. It's not even Neverwinter Nights. The same could be said about the characters, although Hans Capon is charming, even if he is just a much shallower Alistair from Dragon Age: Origins. As for the "realism" aspect of the setting, it's a very selectively realism.

But I had a great time! Well recommended for people who like CRPGs of the action variety. Cf. more to Elder Scrolls than Bioware classics however.

So, I'm about 10 hours into Death Stranding and... It's a mixed bag so far. I don't mind the gameplay. I find it quite relaxing and the 'social' element is cute, but... These characters are pretty garbo. The universe is interesting, but everything so god damn longwinded in exposition. I don't need 4 characters to tell me the same information in the course of 2 minutes. And for a game with so many menus they sure are cluttered and messy. If you thought menu diving on a Boss 500-series was bad you're in for a treat. Jesus on a cracker these endless screens with so much unnecessary info.

Anyways, I'll probably end up finishing it because I really enjoy traversing the terrain and taking in the views. The game looks absolutely stunning. The story needs to pick it up though.

I thoroughly enjoyed Death Stranding, but this did absolutely drive me nuts. By the end of the game I was skipping a fair bit of the dialogue because I just couldn't take it.

I was itching for some turn based bliss so I decided to try the first Jagged Alliance game that I had bought from GOG a year ago.

Very interesting pacing between real-time and turn based, blending the RPG elements pretty elegantly but it is HARD. You never actually feel like you have that big of an advantage over anything. Whenever you feel like your gear is up to spec the enemy shows up with better weapons. Your budget is on point and you're thinking about hiring more mercs? Hold on, the trees you're harvesting for money are starting to die of some disease.

It can be a pretty long game too depending on how many sectors you decide to take every day. Great game.

why hasn't sega done an online versus release of the monkey boxing from super monkey ball. charge £8 for it, have a 30/50/100 person battle royale mode. that would kick money butt
