I remember there was a guy doing "thing1", "thing2", "thing3", usw.
And then another one labeling stuff with weird naming conventions.

Anyways... is that Draume a reverb?
It is a reverb!

I am not at all a fan of the obscure control labels. Particularly on stuff like a fuzz where you have volume, gain and tone and they're called Butt, Sentience and Zag so I have no idea what anything does.

Personally I think the Draume is.. not one of those examples? Clk = clock speed, txt = texture, FM and AM are very common initialisms. :idk:

Nice toyyy Warren Ellis noises coming :)
Yeah, I'm very excited! Depending how much I like it, I'm toying with the idea of trying to find one of his tenor or tenor baritone guitars as well
Just watched a demo, didn't knew they also made a baritone version of that tenor! :thumb:

I've wanted one ever since I first learned about them. Just something very different from all my other instruments.

The baritone version is slightly more appealing to me. The 23" scale of the tenor kind of scares me; I'm worried it would feel too much like a toy. Especially for the price. But, like I already said, it would be completely different from all my other instruments, which would be fun. I wish I could find one locally to test out. The Mandocello will at least give me a good idea of what the build quality and a good idea of how much I might use such an instrument.

The tiny scale of the tenor is exactly why I think it looks fun. He seems to have a blast playing them and I feel like it offers a greater degree of disconnect from the idea of playing guitar

Yeah that's exactly why I think it would be fun too. I just have big hands that make small things feel toy-like.

Re: tenor scale length: tuning in 5ths kinda erases most of the "cramped" effect of short scale b/c high tension, and you're gonna have more notes per string, giving your meat mitts more room to stretch out. At one point I was alternating bass (also tuned in 5ths b/c brainz hurtz moar than handz) and mandolin in the same band, and it really wasn't too bad....

That said, mandocelli is something the world needs more of....

I am bummed that company is marketing the lap mando though, b/c it really takes the wind out of the sails of my slide mando feature (actually it's a great idea)....

also: BASS VI MANDOCELLO! :joy: :omg: :!!!:

Just saying, 8 strings, almost 30" scale length: Meshuggah signature Ibanez tuned like a mandolin

Illuminated knobs on this pedal series are a great idea. I hate looking down and not being able to tell what my settings are. I hate super shiny knobs, knobs with tiny indicator marks or no indicator marks at all. Might look cool but functionality is more important than style.

So it made it here today and I really, really dig it so far. Very comfortable and sounds amazing! Surprised at how well it plays through some dirt. Going to need to spend some more time with it to learn some chords and scales, but so far I think this thing is a keeper!

I got a Audio Damage plugin (Ratshack Reverb) for the ipad based on an old Radio Shack Realistic BBD reverb/delay and it rules... so now I have a real one coming.
