I am really enjoying Hyper Light Drifter. I just beat the 3rd boss and started exploring the south area. I cannot find keys at all, though. I think I have three of them. I'm finding tons of secret paths, but none of them seem to hide any keys. The soundtrack is phenomenal; I've been inspired enough by it that I've actually put down the game to go mess around with some synths.
I think I found about 5 keys in my game, not that many. I think there are a LOT of secret areas, plus remembering to backtrack to previous places now you have enough keys/segments.
I spent ten hours completing the last boss but I guess it might take that much time again to find all the secret stuff lol. Didn't feel worth it to me
I'm torn about trying to find more/all of them. I'm not really a completionist, but there are a lot of locked doors that I want to open. At least I'm not missing anything.
Oh wow, that's going to be interesting. I've been impressed with the bosses so far; they've been incredibly challenging, but at the same time, I've always felt like I could beat them given a little more practice and/or luck. Kind of similar to Dark Souls bosses. Very rewarding when you finally beat them.

Also, because I'm daft/dense, I don't have the slightest clue as to how much the game may have changed as far as the modern real time content. I remember getting pokemon white/black for my wife and I to play only to realize like nearly 20% of the game was based on real time events that were over/obsolete, how much of a game like ff7r is self contained? Am I going to miss out on content if I were to wait until all of the installments are released?
you don't need internet for single player games like ff7r, god of war, spider-man, uncharted, etc.
reports indicate that, while it is broadly the midgar section of the original ff7, ff7r is fleshed out to 40-50hrs

Thanks, this is what I wanted to hear haha. It's expected to be the complete game expanded out over time though, right?
Breath of the Wild has kept me busy indoors. All the nature in there is soothing and there's an endless amount of shit to do.

Rust added a farming update so I've just been making little farm houses across this one server and generally doing dumb stuff.
People are still a cancer upon this universe in online gameplay, but whatever. I can finally water corn plants.
I'm such a prematurely old fart, after pondering the idea of a PS4, and how great I'm sure the remake is and all the added morality struggle content and such, I think I'd still rather just get a psone slim with the screen attachment and an pg copy of ff7 for ambient development studio gaming lol. I don't need video games to become longer

I got to a point in HLD where I couldn't progress due to lack of skill on my part. The game is really cool. I should try it again.
Most of my time has been spent with Darkest Dungeon and Slay the Spire lately.
Hotline Miami Collection, Thumper, Nidhogg 2, BlazBlue, DragonBall FighterZ are all on sale in the Switch store rn. Bastion is $2.99, it's real pretty and I remember playing through the whole thing.

I found that with the right upgrades and doing stuff in the right order everything was winnable. At first I set off in some silly directions and got to bits that were way too hard till I backtracked, did other stuff, bought upgrades and practiced. It can be a tough game but I think it's fair.

Oh man, I love Hotline Miami, but I've already beat it a few times on the PC. I really don't need to spend more money just to have it on the Switch

Hotline Miami is one of the Great Games atmo. Hotline Miami 2 had so much potential but ended up sucking donk (i.e. I got stuck and could not win a level).
...
I'm still on "RISK OF RAIN 2" for Switch. It is so hard. Once you get to stage six or seven, the Switch stops being able to handle the game and FPS drops to slide-show. Pretty irritating but I've seen vids online of PCs having the same trouble. I rank this game up there with "BINDING OF ISAAC," another Great Game of All Time according to my opinion.

I thoroughly enjoyed both Hotline Miami 1 and 2 and played through both a few times. Definitely a pretty brutal game and I got stuck on a few levels for awhile. I'll probably buy them both again on the Switch when I want to play them again.
I also love Binding of Isaac. I ended up buying that again on the Switch along with the DLC that I didn't have before because my save files were all deleted on the PC. The DLC is so worth it! So many more enemies, rooms, items, just more of everything really!
I still haven't bonded with Risk of Rain 2, but I've also only played like 10-20 minutes or so.
