You can try adding a pull-down resistor between the input jack and ground. Got to try some different values. It's not optimal and sort of a shit hack, but sometimes that works for popping pedals.

I can second that, I have the m4 and that low low latency has been downright transcendental. The Eristic wrote:I've been using an M2 for my stream for a few weeks, it's been great so far.MechaGodzilla wrote:i'm gettin emails that the motu m2 is in stock again. do i upgrade rom my scarlett 2i2? there's a lot i hate about the scarlett, but the motu isn't as fun as and echo dream, which was the thing i really wanna buy next
Since the Cooper FX shark tank is locked, did anyone ever figure out a fix for the Gen Loss footswitch pop? Mine used to do it occasionally the first time I'd switch it on, but I went to use it tonight and now it's popping every single time and twice as loudly. Can't use it at all like that.

Are there any good reverbs that are also cheap? If not, why not? Are the components more expensive than (for example) fuzz pedals? I tried a Behringer reverb a few years ago and it was horrible. Yet their fuzz pedal knockoffs are pretty good.
Can you recommend a respectable budget reverb?

The digiverb commands respect, but I have not tried it. I have an RV-3 and it is no blackhole-niceness it sounds cool and good. For ambient I have always loved the modulated reverb on the RV-5, I don't know how much they are but not too much I suppose.K2000 wrote:Are there any good reverbs that are also cheap? Others that come to mind that you can find for less than 100 bucks are
- line 6 verbzilla
- zoom ms70
- line 6 m5
The behringer verb would likely be somewhere at the bottom of the barrel.

It probably costs more for a pedal that can do multiple types of reverb - I'm mostly interested in spring reverb.
I just checked prices on the Verbzilla - it's near $100 now.

yep, that gets it fcknoise. Zoom multistomps are a nice deal - especially when you start stacking units up internally.
I had a digiverb, 't'was nice. I chose it over the Supernatural, which imo, was taking it into directions I prefer not to go (shimmmmurrrs). Looks like you can get the Polara for under a hundo, too - I was interested for a time.
Still have warm'n'fuzzies for the XP400, which at one time you could get for under a $100, but jetpack mods pushed up prices - maybe they'll come back down to earth?
I love the Alesis Wedge and Lexicon Reflex, both of which I got for close to standard-metalzone-units, but line levels
TC HoF seems polarizing - to me it mostly just seemed kinda dark....
If you like the lofi PT2399/Belkin brick soundz (which, because of the inherently high predelay time tend to evoke springs), used Ghost Echoes/Levitations or various diy joints can be found dirt cheep. I got a Russian one with an fx loop that is a good time

also - I don't know much about this dude Cyril Ritchard, but my interest in Tannoy gear has definitely gone up a notch or two

ah, the only thing my list did not consider was spring. I believe it is harder to get really good. I would probably look for a danelectro spring king at that pointK2000 wrote:It probably costs more for a pedal that can do multiple types of reverb - I'm mostly interested in spring reverb.

Re: The Whatever Thread .. For Gear!!
The spring setting in the cheap Mooer reverb mini pedals sounds pretty solid. There's also a very cheap unbranded spring chicken copy that you can find on ebay that sounds pretty decent. The one I bought had the added bonus of shooting sparks out of it any time I plugged in an adaptor, so that's fun.K2000 wrote:It probably costs more for a pedal that can do multiple types of reverb - I'm mostly interested in spring reverb.

Yeah, you'd probably be better off with a multi-verb for the $100, or else a cheap knockoff of a Spring Chicken/Dunk Tank-type of situation?mcatano wrote:The spring setting in the cheap Mooer reverb mini pedals sounds pretty solid. TC does have a Drip pedal, though for a little more you could get one of their algo pedals, instead?
I always think of that J. Rockett BOING pedal, and also why other companies don't do single knob reverb pedals (it seemed like a thing everyone was doing around the time the Dunk Tank appeared, but maybe not so much now).
I looked for a DIY kit, but most are three knobs or out of the USA at the moment - it's surely a pretty simple build, though, right?
Good morning!
