FYI The Mothership 2 is fun but extremely hard to find a useable sound. Unfortunately it was for me at least. It's in a drawer now where it lives. lol

Nuts. I had been afraid that it might be to tweaky for you. Definitely flip it if it doesn’t spark joy.

Never heard a remotely pleasing sound from the demos for the mothership. The subdecay m3 might be limited to korg sounds but every patch is really good.

I LOVE my mothership 2, but I use it for mostly one very distinct sound of a filter siren controlled by expression. It lets me get R2D2 type sounds which I love to play with over a groove or use that sound percussively in a loop

my friend recently got a source audio c4
he uses it for ewi but i played dobro through it for a while
best tracking i've ever seen for guitar synth, but admittedly i'm not that well versed
i had an original mothership that i liked ok

i just scratched the surface of the c4 but i thought the sounds were lame as fuck (like the presets) the controls were counter intuitive to me so i didnt really know what i was doing to "make my own" toanz

but yeah, AMAZING tracking on lead guitar. seriously.

Indeed! And the price seems to be good as well (at least I don't know how often these pedals pop up).

I disliked the C4, couldn't get a decent sound out of it at all. I'm really turned off by Source Audio. Have had the Kingmaker, Nemesis, Ventris, C4. Kingmaker had some pretty decent digital distortion but accessing their software was a PITA. Nemesis had a couple algorithms I really liked (Helix especially). Ventris was terrible, C4 the same. Their interfaces are clunky AF.

Lemon juice & a piece of paper seems like a better idea, but I know it's probably easier to burn money

there was a mint OP-1 w/some add-ons on Reverb last night for $875 but I couldn't pull the trigger as the seller had no reviews or history. Obviously, it's gone now, but how leery are you of buying things from people with no reviews? Should i be kicking myself? I certainly don't see myself ever paying $1299 for one.
