Korg may not want to make this thing too functionally excellent though, for market placement reasons? :idk: :grumpy:

Yeah definitely I think there is a limit where it becomes a different class of product and no longer fits in that spot in their catalogue.

I guess? I honestly don’t know how much a line-in would add to the cost, but that would have made this a MUCH better product. As it is, I’m a little disappointed. Like, they added an interface that’s going to become obsolete slower than the interface they originally had. Good job, guys. Way to innovate....

Where this thing has such a big following and it seems like they’ve beefed up the hardware a bit, maybe that guy who’s been designing custom firmware for the og volca sample will be able to add real time recording?

I didn't say the line in would be the definitive hard limit. I can just see why they're not adding too much stuff. You know? I think a line in would be great and as you say much better than an iPhone app as an interface!

It makes sense to not add too much. It’s a budget piece of gear, and a big part of its appeal is its simplicity. So, keeping the number of features low is a good idea. Also, given the stuff in the price range it makes sense to add a usb in to try and compete with those offerings, but a line in would’ve made it stand out more, imo.

Sometimes I miss my Electribe, but mostly because I left a sick house remix of the Cheetahmen theme song on it.

Am I the only one looking at all the Gen Loss-based products and trying to sort between them? OG CooperFx, the Cooper side of the Dark World, CB Gen Loss, and now the Arcades cartridge.

(I definitely still need to binge the Arcades vids for the best idea of how they compare.)

Chasebliss sold out the final batch of 100 Ayahuascas within the 15 minutes between when they sent the email and when I opened it. Bummed. Gonna have to pay out the ass to ever get one now.

I wouldn't waste your time or money. It's not worth the hype imo.

Tried JonnyAngel's @ ILFMW 18. Immediately thought that you could get more mileage out of any fuzz pedal of your choosing plus a tremolo pedal. Don't let hyyype hallucinating get to you. Gravitas seems cool, the trem side was fine, not sure about what the differences are, if any.
