Incoming: a whole bunch of old cassettes my mum was going to toss away before a move:

There's some keepers in here. Some might just get taped over in the longer term., but for the moment, I've already started a little sonic collage project with some loopin' and glitchin'. Plugged the 856 for Zellersasn back in, which is great for stuff like this!

Early indications are that classical and easy listening are especially amenable to the smoosh-up process.

I used to really really enjoy putting classical string music into the sampler and downtuning by an octave or more, sometimes paired with recordings of the drummer we had at the time, also downtuned by an octave or more. So much fun.

I ummed and ahhed over the weekend, looked at lots of different pedals and bought some Sonic the Hedgehog figures for my daughter.

Then I checked to see if the s/h EHX Mod Rex was still on Reverb, made the seller an offer and settled on the revised offer he sent me back :)

So that should be here by Wednesday, with a bit of luck.

I REALLY don't need anything, but it's nice to get new toys in the post.

The Mod Rex is one of my favorite pedals! It's very hands on and responds well to midi clock. I would say the Mod Rex, the Erica Acidbox III and the Polymoon are my three favorite boxes over the last few years.

In!
Mix of early big box + whiteface specs w/ blendable mosfet booster (gain and LPF trimpots). Sounds crazy good.
