Yeah, you're too late for the party...
But I'm sure you can find a lot of infanem talk on here, there should be a bunch of threads from about 8 years ago or so...

Yeah sadly they left the biz. Shame because they made some really great pedals.

Here's my updated stereo board. My main board is changing everyday these days, so I refrain from posting that one.

Image

Signal chain is trickier than it looks:
Korg --> Bixonic --> RC --> Blooper -->Bitquest --> DM-2 --> OC-3 --> ABY --> Rooms --> 720
Amp A: DD-5
Amp B: Freeze

Super happy with this machine. The OC-3 is there for an upcoming gig, but that spot can host any pedal. The rest is permanent.
The Freeze is momentarily replacing my Memory Loss -currently in Pepe's hands for repair!- but actually it's quite interesting to use a freeze on one amp only.
The DMC micro is a gamechanger for Blooper. And I finally pulled the trigger on a Rooms, after selling a couple of dust-collecting pedals. That thing is outrageous! :joy: Most used setting so far is Digit mode, a gorgeous reverb that really blooms in stereo. Tons of David Lynch vibes in there. Room mode might be too much, it is so huge and overwhelming. And wave mode is fascinating, but handle with care, as it may become gimmicky.

Well, this won't come out as a surprise: mostly ring mod and Bitcrush modes. Never get tired of them...

I wanted to use the octave mode more, but somehow I find it hard to dial in; Maybe the knobs were mislabeled (?) on the Bitquest manual, but I can never figure out what the 3 control knobs do, and tracking is usually very bad, unless you find the right balance between volume and mix, but it's alway out of sheer luck and I keep forgetting the settings... I dont know, the Bitquest octave mode is not for me!
By the way, Ryan has started working on Bitquest v2...!

doh! I was just getting cozy with BQ1!

Given your BQ usage, what do you think of the Gong algo on the Rooms? :snax:

I've spent some time with the Gong algo, but it didn't strike me as easy to dial in... Totally different from the Bitquest; So Rooms is crushed reverb. Your dry signal is always in front. If you go for wet only, you get a cool sound, but it's not your in-your-face bits (ha ha!). Either way, you have to increase the wet volume in order to make a statement with it, so it gets really loud! (Around 10 o'clok-ish the wet signal is louder than your dry signal...) As a result, it makes the Gong mode usable in a very specific context, contrary to the Bitquest where you can step on it basically in any piece of music. Maybe it is designed for studio work more than live use?
Oh and the reverb gets huge on that mode too (Rooms and Gong might be the 2 over-the-top modes), if I keep the Time knob around noon or further, I get a wide frozen hold with low-end hump in the way... It could be a sound but most of the time it becomes too prominent.
That's just me trying to be objective, I'm sure some players might dig it a lot more... :idk:
