I know this will sound conspiracy but! What if Trump was put in this place as President, just to ensure a larger scale effort. The virus, the riots, the 4 years of idiocy. He, obviously, wasn't qualified to be POTUS.

Trump had no real interest in being President - but he can't stand to be a looooooooooser. If the GOP had coalesced around an establishment figure and ganged up on him in the 2016 primaries, he could have assuaged his ego with the unfairness of it all. But they failed to do that and then there are just a succession of events where he can't look like a looooooooooser - which, ironically, is probably what kept us out of starting a war with Iran or North Korea so at least there's that - culminating with this Deep State Conspiracy to unseat him after he beautifully won the election.
