 Yeah, he and I had a dual/dueling guitar partnership going on for some years. I was glad to have another guitarist in town that would go to places he did: we shared a mutual admiration for Beefheart, Chicago's weird heavies Mayor Daley, Old Time Relijun, Harry Pussy, and others.

I recorded a thing with a Tokai Talbo feeding a Driving Notion and Draume into a Mini and Cabzeus that was a sorta a tribute to his skewed empty spaces-style of playing: https://www.instagram.com/p/CFtoj_QJTJx/. He excerpted it for a video of his with my permission.

It looks like he's largely moving on from electric style playing to acoustic-y soundtrack stuff to accompany homemade videos of his life in Tucson, hence the Reverb listings. Here's something he recorded more recently: https://www.instagram.com/p/CDacJ5inQSY/
Great deals with lordgalvar, filipre, seten, DannDubblewe, PumpkinPieces, backwardsvoyager, DADGBD, jwar, JonnyAngle, dandolin, pd~, Dungus, dminner

Always wanted one of these. Good fodder for another Pest Tattern-ish special ILF pedal, if you ask me.
The ID and the Anemia are two of the gems that Devi produced and I would love to see them come back in some forum.

An ILF ID box ? I would be all over that shit

Have you seen this tho?

A Spectacular Aenima would be wonderful, however :trippy:

Semi-anecdotally, there's also this (extremely NSFW), for which the commentary (please read it all) is entirely warranted.

I'm most surprised anyone actually bought a Devi patent.

I'd love an ILF ID. I'm down to contribute if anyone wants to collab.

That's that brands business model basically. All Devi stuff...It's like $1000/month to license her wares, plus a percentage of the cut if you make a certain amount I believe.

Edit: having said that, I think it looks better than the OG Devi version. Holy Island did a killer job on the finishes: https://www.instagram.com/p/CKtyj-zMikC ... lsi46x2ilv

I find the Devi Ever saga rather strange and depressing. This forum wouldn't exist without her.

"a strange and terrible saga" as Hunter S. Thompson once wrote. the whole thing felt really bad to me...all i really wanted from her (other than a White Spider) was for her to be happy. i hope she's in a better space now.

yeh - that one is on the wrong side of the option paralysis/flexibility divide
despite all that flexibility, it only ever sounded slight variations on esse muffiness
and the temptation to futz was ultimately annoying
i want fuzz, not futz
solded without regret years ago
gnomeratron vtf, otoh, i will clutch firmly forever
still love btmb for doing what they do, but others of theirs have been more intuitive/fun for me

Really? I thought having a 3rd clipperino would make it a little cooler than average. But then all muffs are muffs... Except for gnomeratron? I had no idea it was a muff, thought it was an original
