OK, i'm a big dumbass (Polish "dumeresel" [sp?] literally = "stupid donkey." you learn weird shit growing up in Chicago, including the Central European origins of a lot of midwestern American idioms and customs). after an extended period plugging and unplugging things and trying different arrangements and separate wall warts for problematic items, it turns out that there are just too many digital pedals on there (three in this case...the Attack Decay is analog, right?) and they don't play nicely on a daisy chain. the Acoustic Simulator is especially egregious in this regard, but the Muza is also unusably noisy and the digital pedals all despise the Octave Multiplexer. when powered separately everything's all "Saturday Afternoon/Won't You Try" down there. the problem with the ROYGBIV apparently was having the stuff upstream from the Attack Decay connected, i.e. the AS and OM. i've been getting away with two daisy chains on the main board for ages because those pedals are all analog other than the RV-3 and all pretty stable, but the digital stuff just isn't happening without isolated power outs. i just ordered one of the 8x9V MXR dealies; they're cheap enough, and i trust MXR over the cheapazoid PSes by Mooer, Caline, and the like. i don't have any 18V pedals for its two 18V outs, but i wonder if you could use a step-down 12V adapter to run the Black Finger. i don't know if you can get aftermarket plugs for that weird spade-and-pin connector, though, and i don't want to mess with rewiring it. i could always just bolt a power strip under the board and plug in the BF's adapter as well as the TC chorus/flanger's AC cord. but the BF belongs down the other end of the chain. oh, well. so that fucking problem will be settled by the end of the week. and not a moment too soon. i need a drink, and i don't even particularly like to drink.

i've been pining for a Fabrikat forever now, and a Feber would go with it like ham and Swiss. it's the only ring modulator-adjacent pedal i've heard that i like as much as my Randy's Revenge v.1.

holy shit what a haul!Muse FTW wrote:My GAS exploded this weekend with a bunch of new purchases of pedals, of all things.
Benson Germanium Fuzz
CBA/Meris CXM 1978
Hologram Microcosm
ZVEX Octane 3 (really wanted one when I was super into ZVEX but never tried it)
Nearly picked up a Spaceman Sputnik III, Strymon Night Sky, and I took a loooong look at the Echo Fix. Despite having a Space Echo, having 1 for my synths and 1 for my guitar chain would be tight... Alas, I am holding off on that for now lol.
I still want a new modulation pedal but I haven't found anything that has made me say WOW. I have the lofi side covered with CBA's warped vinyl (lofi and hifi) and the GenLoss collab, so I guess I'm looking more for the strange side of modulation (phase/flange/ring mod/etc.).
I think I need to look at some new companies.
I was planning on re-buying the Make Noise 0-coast and preorder the Strega but I'm going to wait a bit. Maybe.

so the ROYGBIV and the Muza are hella fun to mess with when they're not trying to converse amongst themselves. the delays on the Muza are particularly delightful--there's a 16-second setting!--and rolling off the tone on the verbs is ambient AF. i'm feeling much better about the gear now.

Pre-order from last year that I think walked here from Canada, but it's here none-the-less. I snagged this intending to use it for guitar, but hot damn, it sounds WAY to good on bass. Super burpy and lots of controls that go from mild to broken
Lurch Audio's - Surgham. Check it out if you get the chance!!!

Also, hand painted and simply gorgeous!!!

My big GAS pains are:
- Vongon Electronics - Ultrasheer
- Pladask Elektrisk - Fabrikat (had to trade mine for some unobtanium that I just HAD to have
...and I also really need to upgrade my Tensor to the newest version, and now I need a new switcher, and I've never played with a BitQuest, and Bananana is releasing the Tarania, and damnation audio put out some new stuff...and...and...and...that new Benson Germanium looks nutty!!!

Thanks for reminding me about Vongon! I remember seeing a demo for their reverb and loving it but couldn't remember their name. The filter looks sick, too. Nabbed both of their pedals.Gone Fission wrote: Vongon Paragraphs and Pladask Feber are the ones that are haunting me.
The Pladask company really impressed me too. Can't seem to find them available anywhere new at the moment, but added myself to their newsletter.

Got the most surprising surprise.

This guy has been M.I.A. since december, and i was almost sure it was lost as it was marked as delivered on dec 28th.
Well, after sending about 10 to 15 emails to the seller, the shipping company and their subcontractor, without getting any answer, yesterday it showed up (without notice) in an ruined and partially opened bag, with a slightly damaged box, and no other traces on it. The delivery guy literally threw the bag to me and left without letting me sign anything or even check the package.
Luckily the pedal itself is in perfect conditions and works as it should.
I still have to play with it properly, as i only plugged it in to check its state, but between this, the F.13 i got last week, and the incoming Elements and Virus i'm quite settled for the next months,at least until I unload some stuff.

So large credit card bill resulting new tries oil change, dentist and just general bad eating have resulted in a nice cooling of my GAS. That and the 3.2k hospital bill should keep me from going pedal crazy - because at one point I really did start to feel it creep on me.
The stomping stones virus is a for sure purchase when the new enclosures get here ( that and Jero is a bro - you should by more Stomping Stones ) and I ready said I am ready to go.
With that said I cant seem to shake the Alexander Effects Marshmallow - I think with that in conjunction of the disaster transport and bitquest would be
- I have got to pace myself though. I maybe alone in thinking this but I totally get EQD Rainbow Machine vibes from that pedal
( I do miss my rainbow machine)

If it's helpful at all, I really like my Marshmallow.
That's why it still on my much reduced "board", along with a BitQuest and a Rainbow Machine (because I love them too).
