Tower of power.

I've transitioned to using mostly amp gain instead of pedal gain, and I'm pretty happy with what I'm getting out of this rig. The Rockerverb (mk3) is doing the Chunk©, and the Century (with the help of a Boxidizer) is doing the Clang©. They're both also doing a bit of Jangle© - creating what I like to call Chunclangle™️
The HH is there for an A/B with the Peavey, but the Peavey left it in the dusty with its absolute brutality.

I hear the built in one sounds really good.

Yeah, it's quite good. It's based on a Fender Bassman, if that gives you an idea of the sound. The software gives you a lot more range of tweakability, which is nice. I got the Le Clean for a bit more brightness and oomph, as I'm playing a mellow, darker guitar at the moment. I am planning to buy a Tele soon tho, and I'll see then if I feel that I really need the Le Clean or if the Cab M will be good enough on it's own.
Update: I just bought a new telecaster, and am actually thinking I'll likely sell the Le Clean Preamp. The preamp in the CAB M, while not maybe offering as much punch, is sounding pretty good to me with a brighter guitar. I'm just a hobby player and do a little recording, clean 99% of the time, so my purposes I think it suffices. I change my mind about gear 3 - 4 times a day tho, so that could change while I'm sleeping.

'79 DR504... I had a '77 4-input for most of the 90s and stupidly sold it, happy to be back in the game. '66 Bassman and Mule OR-80 hanging out in the wings...

'94 SVT-II Pro. I don't know why the fuck I sold my SVT-VR or Mother 200. Nothing compares to the grunt of 6550s or KT88s giving you 200-300 watts of power

Dude you've always posted the sickest gear. I would do such unethical things for either of those amps

I've played exactly zero Pink Floyd songs on any rig I've ever had, but I suppose with the Muff in front this is a sort of Minimum Viable Gilmour... :idk:

It's loud. It's mostly clean... unless you push the front end, which of course you do. With the OG G12T-75s (Fanes were long gone when I got the cab) it's clear and articulate even when I am not.

Hahaha. Very. I stopped needing to use dirt and EQ pedals because of how monstrous this amp sounds.

Thanks! I feel that, it's a much cooler looking amp and a bit more simple in terms of controls than the II Pro. But being Non-MV and only single channel makes taming the volume without dirt pedals is much harder than with a vintage SVT where you can jumper the channels like a 4-input Marshall.

The fact that the II Pro has an input gain control, a tube drive control, and a master volume has made it the most ripping and tamable bass amp I've ever had. Except for the original Mother 200 which is setup the same way IIRC, input gain knob, drive knob, MV. Being able to stage your gain in a more natural way than just overloading your preamp from pedals gives you such a clear and punchy bass tone. Depends on the amp you're using though. Whoa, random tangent. lol

Edit: Here's an updated picture of the SVT in a 4U headbox made my Mission Engineering. It looks killer now.

Do you still have that reverse color muff?

That amp just looks epic. I cannot even imagine how loud a 6x6550s amp can get, like can you shoot down planes with it

Sweet saaaaatan that's an hell of a rig. Didn't know they made a version with just two inputs back then, i use mine with the two channels blended and that's one of my favorite features.
Still, killer killer setup

Sadly, no... it didn't jive with the Bassman the way my others did, though I'm curious how it would've played with the Hiwatt...

I miss the channel blending of the 4-input and I'd swap this for a one if I could but I have zero issues with just diming the normal channel :joy:
