Sick board.

I'd take the Tape Delay over the Rubberneck though. I prefer good tape emulation over vibrato modulation, and the fx loop on the rubberneck didn't work the way I expected/hoped it would. So goddamn many awesome delay options out there these days, it's just impossible to find a way out of the rabbit hole

I had the Rubberneck briefly and sold it to fund the Empress. It was a bit too dark and grungy back then but now the Empress is a bit too nice and clean. Also it often gets a bit lost, kind of like a ducking effect. The harder you hit it, the less audible are the repeats.
Some kind of Memory Man would also be cool but the EHX is too large. Maybe Memory Boy?

Update: stuff moved, stuff added, stuff removed

On the verge of ditching the Jam-mans, they don't work quietly enough with my rig setup and while the way I having them hooked up [they are unhooked in the picture: they are in a patchy at the back of the board] isn't really giving my the sound I want... I thought it was but it isn't the two separate chains into separate loops sound too separated

Been a while since I did a big update to my main board. Spent a good chunk of time this weekend rewiring and making changes. The main changes were:
- swapping a ciokolate for a DC7 into a Cioks 8 for power
- cleaning up the wiring (as best as I could)
- new stuff added:
3Leaf Proton - unseated 3Leaf Chromatron
5th gear - end of chain boost instead of a ditto looper (also removed the Broughotn Solarian to make more room)
Red Panda Context 2 - unseated HoF mini
Broughton Locust Star - unseated Broughton Bass Box
MountainKing Megalith - filled in with the space from the Chromatron and other moves

last iteration I added in the unpleasant surprise and BlueBeard by shuffling some stuff around to make room like removing the Pladask Elekrisk ROMFERD and putting a passive pickup emulator underneath the board

I'm pretty happy with this iteration since my power is more isolated with the DC7>Cioks8 vs the Ciokolate where almost every out was feeding more than one pedal. This change in power gives me a lot more flexibility for experimentation with voltage and also makes it much easier to hot swap in different stuff. I plan to rotate dirt a lot more as well as some glitchy/experimental stuff in the Stamme[n] / wah area. Still need to make a bunch of changes in my ES-8 and trouble shoot 1 or 2 problems and get all my settings down, but I'm psyched with the progress.




From a bottom standpoint, this is about as clean as I get...my strategy is more around documentation so when changes are needed, I just pull up a google sheet to understand what's connected to what.

Reminds me of when I had my behemoth board with dual power supplies etc. I also had stuff written down to see what went where

Satying in the same looper-realm maybe the bigger Jam-man could help you? it's stereo in/out, so you can process the two signal chains while keeping them separated. you don't have two independent channels though .

Hmmm... yeah I am looking at that but I fear the microphonic noise problem I am having with the expresses... it's weird.. actually really looking at the ditto 4 [or whatever it's called]

Pre-Behringer TC stuff was rock solid. Ever since they got eaten up the quality has been in decline, especially on jacks and switches.

great... I am not a small person... I am very good at breaking things.. but... I don't know... I might still give one a try.. or the pigtronics if it doesn't work out.. I have the smaller pigtronics and while I thought it sounded good.. I don't like the switch timing and I need stereo and I don't care about a lot of speed/pitch/reverse crap.. I find those super awesome features a super awesome waste of time and space unless you are using it to write demo songs on live in a bedroom jam world.. I want a performance unit! If I want other effects I will use other effects units that are made to be awesome

what is the pedal on the right end of the center row with the Bitquest and Ct5?

Looks like an EHX Mod Rex Polyrhythmic Modulator but I might be wrong!
