I still want to test dual stacked BD-2s. I have always liked the BD-2 but never bought one.

Shallow Water incoming. this *should* complete the front-end board. loopers board is next. i think the incoming stuff is going to use up almost all of my remaining cords, so i'll have to put together a infrastructure package. i have almost everything for the looper board other than the LM-2, a power supply with a 12V output for it, and the actual frame.

I think it's almost a bassman topology-wise. It was either that or the od-3. Super well-engineered

when i started seeing the 'gaze community doing posts about them on YouTube, i was really surprised at how cool they are compared to their Toobscreamer-esque reputation. i'm not sure whether it will augment the Distortion+ or replace it; i think it's more solid at high gain settings than the D+ which has gotten a bit tired over the years.

i am a happy kitty today. as a Kevin Shields fanboy, i've been looking for a Devi Ever White Spider literally since i first joined this forum; one came up in the B/S/T a few weeks ago, but it got traded before i could get it. it turns out that the guy who got it was going to flip it, and the original seller pulled my coat about it. a few emails later, and it's coming home (England's coming home...). this is the *only* used WS i've ever seen for sale, so i paid a bit more than i should have done, but i might never see another before i die at the rate i was going. i'm going to have to quit buying effects for awhile once the looper board is done, though; i splashed out more cash than i should have done, but in exchange i get the LF7, the Blues Driver, the Shallow Water, *and* the White Spider. that should keep me busy for awhile. in fact, it's inevitable...this group of pedals will require reconfiguring the front-end board yet *again* (though the sequence and positions are pretty well set), and the fuzz/tortion will likely require a revamp of the fuzz array on the main board with potential disruption to the rest of the board. oh, well...as Ken Kesey said, "nothing lasts."

Was supposed not to spend for a while but could not resist spending a little $100 CAD for an Abstract Data ADE-60. Was planning on getting a triatt but this seems better and the same hp. Not a super exciting purchase but seems like a really good utility attenuator/verter. IME stuff and a sequencer will have to wait a bit still :p

I found one of these for a very cheap price and I gave it a try.
Also because I was curious, after readnig so many bad reviews :yay:
Actaully I like it it has an intereseting woody voicing.
I understood why people said it can be fizzy, but I did 2-3 simple mods to tame the fizziness and give a bit more fullness et voilà! :!!!:

Beautiful looking pedal, univalve!

The MD-2 recveived lots of bad reviews, because it was advertised as a killer high gain distortion pedal for low tuned guitars. IMHO It really sucks if you try that. It has a lot of overlap with the sound of the short-lived PW-2 Power Driver. It doesn't get near to metal territory, but I think it's good for anything between blues and rock. I only really liked to use it with DIST in minimum position.
