Thanks! Sounds decent so far. Need to get I running with MIDI in my DAW. Really curious how that will work. (That was the main reason to get it. Soundwise I favor my jerms spammy.)Pepe wrote:Beautiful looking pedal, univalve!![]()

I remember Boss' advertisement, and it has indeed a lot of gain available on tap, and can really go into metal territories (actually with my baritone guitar tuned to B, it can do some nice doom/sludge sounds). But I do agree: in the low/medium gain part there are a lot of sweet spots, especially the balance between dist and boost knobs is crucial, and gives you a lot of nuances!Pepe wrote:The MD-2 recveived lots of bad reviews, because it was advertised as a killer high gain distortion pedal for low tuned guitars. IMHO It really sucks if you try that. It has a lot of overlap with the sound of the short-lived PW-2 Power Driver. It doesn't get near to metal territory, but I think it's good for anything between blues and rock. I only really liked to use it with DIST in minimum position.

Shallow Water and Lo-Fi are in. i'm not going to get to mess with them because i'm hella busy, but they're there and i know exactly how everything's going to be routed. taking a deep breath while waiting for the Blues Driver and White Spider to arrive.

^^^^ Looks cool.
I'm still using a corded Logitech mouse because anything "better" that I've tried has proved not to be.

The Possessed arrived safe and sound.
I'm finding it quite "clicky" at times, which I don't really like, but it is possible to dial that out and get some sounds I do like, so on the whole I'm happy.
Having sold my Dusk I'm thinking of getting something else to replace it, rather than just use the money to pay off the Possessed, because I'm an idiot
The temptation is to get a Recovery Effects Phantom Operator because like almost everything else I've got, it adds in random bleeps and bloops and I like random.

I have been really watching what I spend this month and it has been great for my creativity
Super happy with my rig right now - I just need to fine tune things but I think I have what I want basics ready to go.
I am really curious about the Fett Sunn pre amp pedal from from EAE - I have been for the most part wanting a bass right that is pedal board based and then I can just use a power amp and cab if I ever get that far. The MBD2 gives me a great bass sound as a sudo preamp but I am wanting a little more in tone shaping. I saw Hondo Feilder on youtube demo it and I am REALLY like the sound that came out of it. The bit quest would be kicked out and this put in place. Right now I am just using it as another flavor of dirt or it might kick the compressor off depending on how it sounds. The MCD70 is nailing the dreamy ambient sound that I have been wanting - so much so that I might take the disaster transport off at some point but more delay is more
Also the the Virus Fuzz is the best Fuzz ever - every should own at least two ------ maybe 10

I know, I REALLY like it and the sounds that are come out of it but its not scratching that itch at the moment. Its a definite keeper for sure to use on another projectPaul_C wrote:MaxMaps wrote: The bit quest would be kicked out and this put in place.

The tracking on my Laowiz Part Garden updated from "delivery today" to "still in transit".
At least its not lost, I checked.
But H O T D A Y M I'm excited as fuck about that. Imma sucker for a good fuzzstortion type sound, and I have a feeling I'll be able to get some nice grind outta that fucker with the plumes doing marshally things to it.
The long short of this is really, Alec is talented as fuck and a genius. I cant wait to go nuts with this thing.
ALSO, ALSO, my mom went absolute madlad on me and surprised me with an Epi Les Paul Custom in black as a starting college present. Its on back order and should be here in about a month, but duuuuuuuude I've wanted one for years I'm S O ok with waiting a little longer.

Phantom Operator ordered, will it be the last thing I buy in 2021?
In other news I find the dull grey finish of the Possessed depressing, so I need a sticker for it. Are there ILF stickers available to buy or any other suggestions ?
If not I may well "borrow" one from one of my 7 year old daughter's magazines - kids TV, dinosaurs etc.

I was very intrigued by the Phantom Operator when it came out but couldn't afford it at the time. Must remember to dig around and see if someone's done a ZOIA knockoff patch.Paul_C wrote:Phantom Operator ordered, will it be the last thing I buy in 2021?
