Moroever that fucking sucks. I'm sad to hear it.
I do not know how hard they are to come by but Effekt Boutique in Germany (https://www.effekt-boutique.de) has Geiger Counter in stock. Might not be very attractive if you're in the US but for a desperate soul it might be a consolation.
That's good information, moozz. They seem to have seven Geiger Counters in stock right now. I can send something overseas if my help is needed.

Here's a Lida Machine available for $150. I grabbed mine, back when Knobs' demos were a monthly treat. A couple of dual filters have come out since (like the OBNE Float), but this one may still be the best and cheapest option.

vintage DOD 680 analog delay (ends today with bidding still under $100):

This looks like a nice little device, reasonably cheap in kit form: Vaemi DIY Drone Synthesizer.

(And US$100 assembled on their website.)

Edit: their website also has a nice looking EMF microphone.
solo (mostly ambient): https://heraclitusakimbo.bandcamp.com/
duo (electroacoustic vibration exploration): https://wenderlypark.bandcamp.com/
trio (tapes/voice/clarinet/synth/poems): https://ourwaytofall.bandcamp.com/
band (spontaneous kosmische): https://stargoon.bandcamp.com/

I also help co-ordinate Okta, ILF's collaborative community ambient project: https://okta.bandcamp.com

Here's 4 sales ending soon:

Gear Hero is probably having their last sale before BF (ends today).

https://gearhero.com/

The only Industrialectric product currently in production is the Incinerator Deluxe, so it might be good a time to grab an Echo Degrader/RM-1N/S-46/7446. Otherwise, it could be a while before they're restocked. Also, they have the CBA Gravitas & Warped Vinyl Hifi for 15% off.

I tried it on several things. (auto-discounted in your cart)
NSFW: show
Eventide Misha
Eventide UltraTap
Intensive Care Audio Vena Cava Filter V1
SolidGoldFX Oblivion Quad Flanger
SolidGoldFX NU-33 Lo-Fi Vinyl Engine
Function f(x) Clusterfuzz
CBA Warped Vinyl HiFi
CBA Gravitas
Intensive Care Audio Vena Cava Filter
Vongon Paragraphs (Ultrasheer is sold out)
Dreadbox Hypnosis
Dreadbox Treminator
DBA Space Bender
Catalinbread Soft Focus Reverb
Catalinbread Csidman
Empress Reverb
NativeAudio Wilderness Delay
Alexander Superball
Caroline Megabyte Delay

Idiotbox 3D Triple Delay
Industrialectric Echo Degrader
Walrus Lore
Klevgrand's anniversary sale ends in a few hours---everything is $29 or less. (direct + dealers)

Dragonfly is half off (only $15 right now). You can use it as a straightforward tremolo, or you can do advanced midi-routing and sidechaining tricks, if that's your inclination.

How does one lose ALL knob shells? One or two ok but all of them.... this obviously has a story behind it!

I really want to believe there's a subgenre of users that don't prefer knobs, but only the feel of the bare pots on their fingertips (the anti-Chuck McGills of the world).

But also? Those knobs absolutely suck, so it's probable that they were harvested for another device (where's Bendhy when you knead 'em?), or forgotten entirely.

I also cannot attest to what Adderall may or may not have done to a generation of nocturnal synth ppl, but within these three sentences are probably a worthwhile explanation of both the circumstances and the device described therein (not terribly funny, but the truth seldom ever is).
