I really loved the video, the film itself, and the music. Congrats !Seance wrote:I just added a new soundtrack to an old animation of mine.
I just got a 5th Anniversary CT5 and used Mode3 for the whole clip.
And also a Boss RE-20.

It's been a while since I've been able to have a live projection with an audience where I improvise the soundtrack.
Hopefully 2021 will be a different story. I guess now's the time to generate more material in case things change for the better.

Re: Let's see your ART!
I've got a whole bunch of abstract art (both digital and physical) at https://rgart.artstation.com. Here's one of my latest acrylic paintings that I made while listening to Ben Frost's "Aurora":
Cyborg See Cyborg Do (ambient, drone, soundtrack-style)
Sandbite (electronic noisepop/shoegaze/whatever)
CHERNØBØG (industrial techno, rhythmic noise and stuff)

Music is an old recording from 2008 on a Yamaha S90 ES, with some extra drum sprinkles.

I drew some animation on 24 sheets of paper (layer after layer) and
made letters out of tiny molds and let ice melt and I made some Jell-O
and cut it into the shape of letters and let the speaker on a bass amp
jiggle the Jell-O and I played the Fairfield Circuitry Shallow Water.

A little after COVID hit, I started doing drawings in ink on graph paper.
I am finally starting to get this stuff scanned and put in one place:

I've been using a 65" curved Samsung 4k tv for my monitor/canvas while working on it. It started out at 1280 x 720 back when I got my first tablet in 2006, and got worked on for a while, and then sat untouched until last year when I got another tablet. Since then it's been resized up to 1920, then 4k, and then 8k. This is a processed and touched-up version of the "clean" image, using Topaz plugin effects to bring it together to one uniform looking style.

Re: Let's see your ART!
I thought about putting these in the pink/purple threads, but what the hell.
Some friends of mine found a beautiful old Dayton Last Works boot last dated 1935, it's tiny, marked kids' 11 1/2 E. They gave it to me, and I was thrilled, jokingly saying, "glad it ain't a pair, I'd have to make some boots if it were," to which my brain immediately said, "you can make just one just for the hell of it, c'mon, it'll be cuuuute." Thanks, brain, you asshole.

The others are just some work boots.

Fuckin' with that AI jawn...where artist styles are like cheap synth and fx presets. Shit is still distorted as all fuck, and you barely ever get any details that make sense on close inspection, but it's getting better with every revision. Nightcafe, Midjourney, Disco Diffusion and Deep Dream Generator all seem quite worth the subscription fees for higher quality too. This is just the free shit, which is perfectly fine for chaos monster chop and shop material:

Re: Let's see your ART!

..so I was lucky enough to score an invite to the final beta wave of Stable Diffusion from the AI Generated Art facebook group, it's a brand new Discord-based AI that is going open source and will eventually be able to run on home computers with mid-level GPUs instead of a server. It launched on saturday and is already on to the next wave, and it seems it's about to just take over as the reigning champ. It's every bit as good as Dall-e and Midjourney quality-wise, but like each AI out there it has it's own interpretations of everything, so each one produces different looking faux Giger/Sienkiewicz/Moebius/Rembrandt etc than the other. It also does nsfw fake photos, which will be allowed to anyone who ends up running it on their own GPU. Yesterday I saw people doing everything from 'kim kardashian getting molested by xenomorph aliens' to 'bill burr in the predator movie'...along with all kinds of other internet cringe...and in the discussion rooms, I learned that it is also the only AI that is programmed to be extra horny and sexual...so this is also the dawn of homemade hentai and all kinds of other crazy shit. It was tossing out random nudity too, on prompts like 'lady gaga as president', and 'illegal rave raided by fascist police', female barbarian and goddess prompts, etc. I've already generated at least a thousand pics with it, which I haven't spent much time examining yet, but here is a cherry-picked sample pack from my first couple of hectic days on there - https://www.flickr.com/photos/139767882@N06/?
