To be honest it went much better than I expected.
There were a few, uh, let’s call them “key personalities” I was hoping would lose their seats, but they’ve managed to remain crusted on to the anus of this country that is the political system. However, if we can get an effective crime and misconduct commission happening (because, yep, we don’t have one) I can see them all of a sudden finding it necessary to retire.
Interesting times ahead, but not in the way that makes you feel total existential dread.
Go Aussie?

Good to see ya dude!
That was a pretty interesting election. The fact that the whole system is rigged against independents getting elected to the lower house just shows how many people fucking hate the libs and labour.
Good thing Barnaby Joyce got re-elected. At least he's mostly stuck inside parliament doing pollie shit. Imagine the damage that dude could wreak on society if he had to get a real job.

That’s quarter-assed at best.
Vandalism. Nothing but vandalism the whole fucking term.
The only potential silver lining to the whole shit sandwich is that there is no plausible argument left against substantial judicial reform, including having a justice for every circuit, consistent with historic federal judicial structure. Unfortunately, that gives me no assurance that such reform has even 49 votes in the Senate.

These are nice sentiments but. Unless. People start voting against the right in massive numbers and then pressure the middle right (we have no real left in this country) to stop the electoral college nothing will change.
