I like living in Pittsburgh, but it does mean I never see shows like this. We are just too small for Rother to come here.

Re: who are you seeing?
i drive from Charlottesville when i have to. we seldom get anything interesting here, so i usually have to go at least to DC. Cville is chock-full of Americana and jamband shit, which i would have loved 40 years ago but bores me to sleep now. i really don’t like traveling that much, but i need live music to make life more bearable.

So we're seeing Jelly Roll on Saturday, yay? I feel like this is my wife getting revenge for the time I dragged her along to see Wolf Eyes and Black Dice.

Jealous of these!
I go to a lot of gigs, and have quite a few lined up. Probably most excited about god's pee at the end of the month though. Going to see Witch Club Satan this Saturday, 'cos I can never get enough cheese hehe.

Re: who are you seeing?
just added Bob Mould Band 5/7 at the Black Cat.
SOTB were very good. they’re hard to categorize…a bit of shoegaze, some 80s New Wave, a little math-rock (they played in 7 a couple of times), some 00s indie, some goth, etc. 4 different lead singers. check ‘em out.

Saw the Avengers a couple weeks ago in Boston and I am flying to SF in May to visit friends and see the Flamin' Groovies!

Re: who are you seeing?

I'm hooked since Demon Box came out.
As a band, we're going see to Sunn O)), although we probably won't actually see them through the all the fog, but rather just hear and feel them.

Fuzzonaut junior wants to see Nine Inch Nails and Chat Pile, so yeah, we'll do that.
And with the lady, we'll see one of her favorite bands from back then: Los Fabulosos Cadillacs.
Another Mogwai concert might also happen.

added Stereolab 9/20 in Asheville and múm, who surprisingly are back after their visits during spring festival season here, on 9/17 at the Atlantis in DC. September is going to be busy.

Re: who are you seeing?
Sorry, I hardly ever post here, but I saw maz's post and realized (a) I'm at the stage in my life where I'm making up for missed shows and (b) Bright Eyes would be top of the list.
In a similar vein, I AM going to finally see Cap'n Jazz in July at Warsaw, and sooooper excited to see Marc Ribot in a couple weeks at Roulette. When I saw Ceramic Dog last year, just seeing that telepathy between him and Shahzad was, like, otherworldly.

Re: who are you seeing?
hoping tickets for Matmos, Bob Mould solo, and the Miki Berenyi Trio last long enough for me to be funded. Mogwai and gybe! were both brilliant. i wouldn't want to choose between them.
apparently múm have recorded their first album in 13 years.
that week when i see both Autechre and the Beta Band in Philly is going to be rough. i might consider staying up there from Sunday when the Autechre show is till 10/30 when the Betas play, because that's a lot of driving in a 5-day period.
also taking Becky to see Ben Ottewell out of Gomez in September. that'll be a busy period with múm, Stereolab, and Ben within a week and having to go to Carrboro for Stereolab because i figured the DC show at the Howard would be less fun because the Howard is less fun while Cat's Cradle is very friendly and the staff are nice. i also have Supergrass in NYC the week before. i don't know how much longer i can keep this kind of schedule. the health stuff i'm working on this summer may be the difference between peripatetic Bob and Bob staying home. my back makes it particularly difficult because the pain tires me out and my legs go numb if i have to stand. i don't hesitate to ask for an ADA seat if there's no seats, but the coming and going is what makes it hard.

Saw Mount Eerie in May, hopefully seeing Bladee, Yung Lean, Oklou, and/or The Pogues (with members of Lankum and other Irish bands) later in the year, see how the dates line up
