Interesting experience! DBA definitely has a different way of doing things!
First, it's bigger than my head:

(my head is behind it)

It's got a huge amount of output...the volume control goes from off at 7 o'clock to unity gain at 7:30 o'clock...I think 9 o'clock would blow my amp!
I'd imagine it could blow a pedal that comes after it, but I'm not about to experiment!
I'd imagine it could blow a pedal that comes after it, but I'm not about to experiment!(not sure why the decision to have that kind of output...maybe to make an amp feedback by turning it up? Just don't leave it up or play a note with it up!!!)
The tone control seems to run the normal tone sweep between 7 and 11-12 o'clock...above that, it gets even thinner and brighter! I think that'd be a handy feature for guitarists who want a tone control that extends way further into the upper range.
I wouldn't call it a wall-of-fuzz type sound...overall, more a traditional-flavor fuzz, more mids and highs (with scooped mid-lower-mids), but there is a nice underlayer of bass on the lower settings.
The thing I liked about it, and the most unique thing about it, was this sort of electric-fizz undertone, which might be a love-it/hate-it thing depending on the person. But it's kind of cool.
I haven't experimented with the internal gain trimpot, and I'm not sure where it's set...anyone tried it?
I'm interested to hear what other people think!
