Re: Thin/Wide Neck Guitars
I don't know if it's true of all Japanese Fender guitars, but I think it's true in general, that Fender guitars made in Japan have thinner necks than those made in the USA or Mexico. I have a Japanese Fat Strat from the 80's with a thin neck, which feels similar to the neck on my Ibanez Iceman.
I read somewhere that the Fender Pawn Shop series guitars are made in Japan, so you might try one of those on for size if you can get your hands on one.

Also, I liek the FLCL avatar.

I'm pretty sure they are 25.5" They make a bucker one now called the skatecaster which sadly to me lost all it's charm but... they reissued the thing more then once so they are findable.. I can't remember though if the Jackson one [solid basswood body black pickguard] had the thin neck or the bat shaped one they did in the late 90's for a bit... I know I've played one but I can't remember...

Anyone know if the Vox SDC22 has a thin neck? It looks like it does and I dig the look.

I've heard most Schecter guitars have "baseball bats" for necks. I am a huge fan of Wizard-II necks.
You could always sand down necks if you're into that sort of thing. From what I remember, some of the ESP guitars have fairly thin necks as well.

SO seems like Ibanez, ESP, Washburn, and SOME Yamahas and Peaveys. Does anyone know about the Vox SDC22?

I second this motion, peavey necks are super thin. I have a T-15, the neck is minuscule in depth.
