My new girlfriend rules and I am going on my first tour with my band in like 2 months. Fuck it. Life is awesome.
^ So dialectical!
I managed to convince my band to finally come out and play again. Damn fucking finishing Uni exams, dudes finally got their priorities straight. Now all I gotta do is rent the space and find one or two bands to share the bill with. (texting Univalve)

Awesome. 2 of us are in school / work. One dude just works.
I realize from the language I used that it might not be clear what I meant. I'm going on tour for my first time. Pumped.
Actually, I've never played a "real" show before. Our first is in a month
bit the bullet and ordered a MacBook. it was less expensive than i thought it'd be--a LITTLE--but it's going to be nice to finally have an up-to-date computer again. i've been hobbling along on 10.4 for ages now since my computers are both PowerPC units. what's horrifying, though, is that Adobe Creative Suite costs like $1500. FIFTEEN HUNDRED FUCKING DOLLARS. seriously? that's like 1/3 more than the damned computer!
plus i have a real live job interview next week through the agency with whom i interviewed on Tuesday; if they like me i could start immediately. in which case i'm getting a Randy's Revenge.
and Lulu is so sweet and wonderful...she follows me around the house and loves nothing more than to curl up next to me or in my lap and purrrrrrrrr
In girum imus nocte et consumimur igni
FIFTY YEARS OF SCARING THE CHILDREN 1970-2020--and i'm not done yet
I'm so close to getting my return. I'm going to get my car checked up, get my hair cut, and possibly pick up a replacement stereo+speakers I found in a thrift shop for my car.
THEN MY BUNS ARE MOVING TO NIAGARA FALLS. WOO.

I can't wait. Kate's wonderful friend is (likely) setting me up with an affordable place, near the school and Kate, in a good part of town, and he may be able to get me a job right away as well.
Also, I'm finally fixing my ukulele. Somehow I lost one of the frets (I swear this happened today, but for the life of me, I can't find the damn fret), so I pulled one off a scrap guitar neck and plan on filing it to be level then cutting the extra bit off the side. I'm excited to have my uke working again.

Thanks! I applied to eleven schools and was worried that I was just going to get eleven rejection letters. I'm going to wait until I hear back from some others before making a decision, but at least now I know I can go somewhere.
