Had one of these last night. It was pleasant. Went well with pizza. I mostly dug it for the bottle & label, though.

Also had a Brooklyn Irish Red and a Smuttynose Robust Porter. Those were tasty.

Split a bottle of Delirium Tremens with the girl earlier tonight to celebrate me leaving one of my jobs. So tasty. And by "split," I mean 70/30 in my favor.

But of course! Though, being an East Sider (yeah, yeah), I tend more towards Doherty's. Or occasionally The Wild Colonial (which was home base Back In The Day).

They'll be lucky if they last the week.

A friend had a pony keg of that on for his birthday. (And a pony of Russian River Supplication, and a pony of Drake's "Brette Davis Eyes") I know some serious beer nerds, and that's a good thing.

Doherty's is pretty great, too! We always do the Trinity wings night over here on Mondays if you or any other locals want to drop by and have a beer!

Oh cool! It's band practice tonight, otherwise I'd take you up on it.

Practice is important. Maybe next week! We need to get this RI group together before I split the northeast!

YES! I am in total agreement. Both bigchief and I are down for beers and wings (I didn't actually ask him, but I have a pretty solid hunch we could work it out). I don't personally know Demon666, but he's around (he plays in Woozy, and sports one helluva board). And Mike from Empire isn't on ILF, but is one helluva pedalhead. I could probably get my bandmate to come out for beer and wings, too.

There's gotta be other peeps who'd be into that!

Oh, and back on topic: I don't know what I'll be drinkin' tonight, but I sure as hell know that it will be something beer-related.

I'm drinking Melbourne Bitters tonight. Almost universally if an Australian beer has "Bitters" in the name it's going to be freaking awful but for some reason MB is great. Makes one mighty suspicious...

Flying Dog Woodt Creek White. Really good, but I'm on my 7th...

Had a Brooklyn Dry Irish Stout last night and it was mighty nice. Followed it with some Newcastle Founder's Ale, which was much more "meh." It tasted off somehow.

Pretty good stuff, the third shift is great! Not a big fan of Pale's but the Widmer Brothers is extremely refreshing and certainly reminds me of why people like pale ale, even though it's pretty dark..idk

Had this at recording session last week:

Newport12.jpg

My bandmate had gotten it as a Christmas present, and didn't know what it was. Some kind of chocolate chili infused brew. Normally right up my alley, but strong even by my standards. Tasted sorta like burning peat. He spit his out... I had two glasses of it...
