Got the first indication that my snowboard think piece might be published. I haven't had my name in a byline for a minute, so this is nice.

First day today at a train themed diner for kids called the Junction Diner as a bussboy, it's pretty cool. I really liked it alot. At $8/hr plus 5% tips form the wait staff, it's aight.

Word, the kids go crazy for the train. All of the wait staff smokes and the owner does dip. Once the restaurant is empty they let the language fly like crazy, might as well all have been sailors in their past lives.

Despite the shoddy turnout of our show last night we had a good time, I seemed to impress one of the girls who organized the whole thing (it was a fundraiser), and we got our show recorded by the sound guy WHO is the unofficial forth touring member of the Violent Femmes. So we will have pro quality recordings of basically 3 hours of music.
But channeling Gordon Gano covering blister in the sun with a guy listening who is on a first name basis with him is pretty weird.

Yeah.
Also, lighting up by the garbage bins. Makes the post-closing cleaning go by faster.

It wasn't that great but damn the movie Waiting was pretty damn accurate about the crazy world of working in a restaurant/bar.
