Ralph bakshi movies. Wizards, Fritz the Cat, Heavy Traffic, Fire and Ice, Coonskin. I just downloaded American Pop the other day but haven't watched it yet, but it seems excellent.

I have my creative surge too. and I record them using a no-name random computer mic, so I don't forget ^^

Mostly wrote and recorded a song today! I've had the verse for ages but wrote the rest of it today and got inspired. Recording stuff always makes me happy, and the bass tone in this song is soooo good.
Also, sorted out some bank shit that was a hassle to get done so now I can get money to buy a car.
my kitty has been SO SWEET today...i think she knows that Big Changes are in the air with me packing things up and whatnot, so she's been sitting in my lap, following me around, and cuddling with me even more than she typically does. earlier this evening i was talking on the phone and she laid down along my side and put her head on my shoulder, purring until she was half asleep. i must have done SOMETHING right in my life.
also started writing a song yesterday. it's a bit of an MBV hommage so i decided to go whole hog and call it "Loveless." it's about wanting to care but having nothing left to give. "i would give you anything/i can't give you anything."

Yeah, I should record them with my camera at the very least.

Congratulations, man. Making it that long without fighting is fucking hard. I'm kind of surprised that I haven't had one with my girl and it's only been 3 months. Any woman that can put up with the amount of gear that us ILFers go through is a good one. And if they can keep you from making terrible impulse decisions, even better.
You've definitely got a good one then. Supportive with gear is like the rarest thing in my experience.
I am glad to have a girl that will let me talk about gear even when she has no idea what it does. She just nods and let's me rant. And she's never like, "Doesn't (that pedal) do the exact same thing as (that pedal)? Why do you need them both?" Those are the worst people. Not just girlfriends, but people in general.
yeah i was tryin to explain a bass vi yesterday i had to tell her it looked like johnny marrs guitar (dont bust my balls,i know the difference) to keep her interested long enough to drop birthday hints before i said j.m. shes like "what you dont like the guitar you have? oh you mean like the yellow one, isnt that a bass?" johnnymarr, baby, johnny marr
