We all play off each other really well and they've complimented my playing a lot, I'm able to fuzz it out and get weird with encouragement / no qualms, the drummer throws out some super interesting rhythms and the guitarist just does his own thing creating a wash of sound behind the riffs/rhythm. The drummer recorded our jams today on some old tape reels he had; didn't have any monitors but he said it sounded great though his phones. We probably have 4 solid songs to go off just from today. Can't wait for him to transfer them to his computer and send them my way.
I have to drive an hour to get to the practice spot, and I don't engage in as much small talk as they do with each other, but whatever I'm still stoked.
That's awesome, dude. I also have to drive for just over an hour to get to band practice and it was pretty damn awkward at first cos I'm in a 3-piece along with two brothers who live together, but it ended up being totally worthwhile. Best of luck!
Yeahhh got really down about recording a song earlier in the week because I couldn't sing it but today I thought I'd try again and I think I've nailed it. Gonna take some time to mix though because it's kinda dense and I'm bad at that.
i figured out how to log into ILF from my cell phone. i'm on the computer now, but it was really a trip to send a PM by phone. sometimes i really like the modern world.

I'm feeling more and more confident about my interview on Tuesday. I just had a major breakthrough on my research portion. And I have all tomorrow to finish those up and solidify talking points for the interview.

Really, I'm still generally unhappy with my life. I still drink a lot every night. However during the day, I'm motivated to make things happen. I've also realized that if I find the right job listings, I've got plenty of skills that I can apply to a career. Basically, in the right area with no real paid experienced required, I'm awesome.
Yeah, I feel good. And after tomorrow, I'll feel like this job interview I have on tuesday is practically mine.

Just started talking to this drummer who is into the same music as me and wants to jam sometime. It's IMPOSSIBLE to find a drummer here so this is extra awesome.
