My parents gave me a nearly new queens size mattress, box spring, and frame. I took a nap early and almost didn't wake up, it's so damn comfortable.

I hung out with a friend and his former band mate today at the band mates house. When they walked in they were just fucking around recording riffs over chopped up drums. I improved a guitar part, then a fuzzy baseline on the whole track and they were like  and we dedicated the rest of the night to finish the song. It ended up sounding like a Receiving End of Sirens track and it was kind of silly, but just so much fun. Got to record vocals and yell really loud. & then his girlfriend cooked us this amazing dinner.

Fun fun fun. It feels really nice to be complimented on my playing because I don't really play with a lot of people.

Over jam recording like that. It's been a while since I've just sat down and recorded a song.

Make sure to share it when is completely finished, man :D

Oh, and I also just sent out my research project for this job I'm applying for. I've got to say I'm pretty damn proud of it.

Tomorrow is phone interview, then...?

Man, I hear you there. I've been so stressed out lately (not necessarily in a bad way but with an anxiety disorder... you know) and I've taken to listening to music pretty much constantly. I go through about 8 albums a day and I'm still left hungry for more like it's creating some sort of fine balance of tension that's stopping my brain from wringing itself out.

On the up side that Maths class I'm taking is turning out to be my favorite this semester and my much-more-talented-than-me friends are doing some really cool stuff lately.

Man, that's right!
Got debt collectors calling me all the time 'cause I was foolish enough to go to the hospital without insurance instead of holding out for another day or so (everything would have been fine; they only performed tests, no treatment) and we're about to be fucked in a few weeks if I can't find a job ASAP. It'll work out though.
I'm re-watching Stalker, one of my favorite movies.
I've got my cinnamon toast, with so much sugar poured on that its turned into a slurry.
Up until now, it'd been months since I'd given a shit about playing any music. Super motivated.
I got lazy during the past year, when there was a rare surplus of money around here. That dried up, so now it's back to paycheck-to-paycheck, sometimes a real struggle and sometimes accompanied by waves of anxiety but also comfortingly familiar.
That's why I THRIVE ON THIS SHIT, SUCKA
NEVER FEEL SO MOTIVATED AS DURING TIMES LIKE THIS

Confession without posting it in the proper thread: I sometimes yearn to be "smashed". Not like in a weird fetish video or being drunk. I need a situation that will take all I've got to get through.
I feel like struggle might yield legitimacy. This is probably a naive, or arrogant, or masochistic way of thinking, though. There's a whole lot of terrible shit out there that could fill that "need", and I also don't want all of that...

First happy thing in a long time. I'm going to be able to stay at my current apartment, so I don't have to move again.
