No. You just need to know you're going to be spending a lot of money. It also depends where you live. If I go out, I know I'm probably going to be spending over $100. But that's Boston. I was in Seattle recently and everything was so cheap it was insane. It made me feel like I was wealthy. We went out for sushi one night and I ordered like a half a dozen things, because they were super cheap, and I expected each one to be like 2 pieces of maki. They come out and they're all 12 piece platters... And the drinks, oh my god. The beers that cost like $10 here were like $5 there. Max. We went to a music festival, and the beers were $2-3. Fucking crazy.

That's horrible. You should do a weekend trip to Buffalo or somewhere and stock up. And when the border guard asks you what's in your trunk, you just tell them meth and illegal fireworks.
I'm drinking a Goose Island 312 wheat ale. Not sure if I would get it again but it is a decent summery, easy-to-drink beer. But then again I like lemons a lot. Also have some Summer Shandy on my girlfriend's behest. It just tastes like Country Time Lemonade mixed with beer. Not quite my thing.
Should have prefaced by saying I'm not a huge drinker, only started a month ago so my experience is pretty limited.
Super excited. I got myself a birthday gift of a Letspour.com order, and it came today! So I'm sippin' on a bomber of Ninkasi Tricerahops Double IPA.
I ordered a few bombers of beers I can't get in Tennessee, or nearby, but the Ninkasi is far and away the one I'm most excited about -- I'd heard about the brewery over 3 years ago in Decibel Magazine and had been dying to try it. Problem's been I don't live close to where they distribute, at all. Y'know, PNW. So finally I get a chance to have it. And it's excellent. Really balanced and smooth for a double IPA, but great hop aroma and flavor.
ninkasi's all over the place here. they're huge now. they used to be one of my favorite breweries out here, but they've grown so much and are so huge now. it's less exciting. i don't think their IPA's are quite as good as they were when it was a smaller brewery, but they're still good. something's bound to be lost when with that scale. anyway, i still like their beer a lot. if you get a chance, try some of their seasonal beers. the spring reign is really good. they also have great metal references for some of their seasonals. like maiden the shade and the winter one is sleigher. also, the red, whatever it's called. i like their red.
