the relocation money for the trip to Charlottesville finally arrived and i was able to get the check cashed with no problem. i'm PMing with the ILFer who i'm going to stay with once i get there. tomorrow i book the Motels 6 so my kitty can get out of the carrier and be warm at night, and then all i have to do is finish up packing and go. i was wondering what to do about needing to pack cooking/eating stuff and my brilliant friend Feather suggested "paper plates." she's a genius. but now i can rest relatively easy for the first time in days. i need to ship some stuff to Charlottesville tomorrow, do some laundry, and then it's odds and ends until final truck packing on Monday for departure Tuesday and a new life, theoretically.

rooms are booked for the trip back east, so my Lulu can be warm at night and i can sleep and use the wi-fi. now there's only laundry and packing to go.

cool pedal in the mail, was supposed to be two pedals but that's cool, just means i'm getting two tomorrow having something to look forward too, eh at least its a reason to get out of bed.
For a smal christmas show I'm doing with a couple of friends I've rediscovered an old favorite: Tim Buckley's Phantasmagoria In Two. Actually the song that inspired my long-standing name on different forums. I hadn't played it in almost ten years but it came back to me so quickly it's amazing. The lyrics were there right off the bat and I only needed to look at the chords once. While I can't pick the guitar like Tim I definitely sing the living daylights out of that song. I hope someone takes a video of the show tomorrow. It will be kick-ass.
