I had one of those dual channel JCM900s which weren't the best, but I had heard good things about the SL-X. What's it like?

totally different animals.
the sl-x is all tube clipping (dual reverbs are diode) SUPER high gain, they were brought out to compete against the dual rectos of the early 90s.
its just like any other good marshall, it has to be LOUD to sound great.

Here's my current rig and basses. I think I have everything covered here. The Jackson is a cheapie but still sounds damn good!
