none of them are vintage, all SVT-VR (the reissue). 2006 (usa), 2007(korea) & 2008(vietnam).
a couple years back now I had the chance to compare an SVT-VR against a vintage 71 blue line too.
I wouldn't be able to tell them apart with my discerning ears.
and the four that I have all sound the bloody same, even if one has ruby tubes, another sovtek...

To me there's a big difference between these two channel models and the single channel SVT-CL (or the SVT-2pro)
both have the same power tube circuit but the preamp isn't the same.
I'd say the difference is even bigger then a marshall with/wihtout a master volume IMHO.

The only grief I've read about the SVT-VR reissues is a safety feature they added that puts the amp into standby if the wall voltage drops below 105volts (it's supposed to be 120v). Yes, that can put the breaks on a show, but do you want to be running your +1000$ amp under those conditions anyways?. This safety feature can easily be modded out anyways for those that don't care.
I just LOVE the girth the SVT gives me. Plugged into Berganito NV412 cabs I'm in heaven.

I'd pick up a vintage blue line for nostalgia's sake, but all I ever cross are later blackline versions.
the blue is just much sexier!

for those curious, here's a pic of a blackline (bottom), blueline (middle) & reissue (top)
In the 80's they looked like this, which I find really fugly.
IIRC ampeg introduced the SVT-CL (classic) in 1990. It's a single channel version that is very commonly seen.

Picked up a ridiculously clean '69 Super Reverb.
I'm just floored by how massive it sounds...

Yeah, I didn't know much about SVT's but happen to come across a '71 Blueline with a road case and all re-capped and nos tubes and all, for $1500 picked up. So I hopped on it and it's been one of the best purchases I've made. It fucking screams and it's SO fucking loud. I love it. I'm finally louder than our guitarist. I always struggled and no longer. Only downside is that I can't push it as hard through my flatback 810 or else the speakers bottom out. I split it between my 810 and a Dually 2x15 to push a little more volume. I love the way my flatback sounds but I'm trying to sell it to pick up some 4x12's or a 6x12 custom bass cab. I've been wanting to play a bergy 412 but they never pop up around my area. I think I'm gonna contact Roller Sound Cabs for something.

I saw this picture of Hendrix, all he used was a wah.... And not even the Jim Dunlop Jimi Hedrix wah, just some old thing.....
Jimi didn't realise the horrible tone suck we had to listen to every time he used that wah.

bw good to that flat back cab. it would be a shame to blow it.
If you were close by I'd pick it up in a cinch.

I expect roller to be able to hook you up. the NV cabs are unported which is a big part of the tight sound
I play baritone and synth through mine, so we probably have different tone goals
I like the berg cabs because they go as low as bass cabs, but as high as guitar cabs (cause fuzz through tweeters sounds like ass)
the berg cabs are he only one's i've ever crossed that do that well at dumb loud volumes.

later this week I'm moving a quad of EV12L speakers into a mesa cab
that should also be a treat.
I'll take pics of the process.

right now all my cabs are divided into two practice spaces. so no cab family shot this week.

but I'm not going to own all four for very long. I only need two.
the last one I bought just because it came with a roadcase. keep the case, flip the head...
& hopefully soon enough to buy that Sunn 2000s ;)

You should have plenty of money to do that.

Mine is a blackline '77, and I got it for $700, though I had to put some work into it, so it was really $900. Finally, I have my dream guitar amp. It's way similar to my V4 too, sound wise, which rules, because I was kinda missing that thing. Just, the additional sound of 200 more watts and the 6550v7027a difference make it just girthsome.

Yay amps!
