That should be the last absurd custom before my absurd custom, as far as I know. I've been waiting for that one to be done, knowing I should be up next.
It's a baritone with 5 sets of strings. The guy who ordered it posts on the Electrical Audio forum.

Officially finished, got my Courier ticket.

Set up to CGCGAD Tuning

I could've gone back on my original idea of Black Anno neck - but i'm happy regardless.

Haha, hopefully mine's not too far behind. June will be the three-year mark.

Still, I'm sure it'll end up being great. ...eventually. :)

THREE YEARS????
At that point, it's just unacceptable and EGC should definitely significantly compensate you

With the wild customs it's pretty understood that you wait as long as it takes until they find time to design and get 'em built in between everything else. There used to be a note about it on the old website. That said, 3 years is insane. I'd be dying inside.

Eh, no point in getting too bent out of shape about it. I mean, I suppose if I'd gone into it with this long of a timeline in mind I might have opted for a standard design that would be done sooner. Then again, I respect that a high-quality instrument that NO ONE ELSE has is going to take time. And the wait makes it even cooler in a way; the journey from having the idea to seeing it fully realized seems more epic.

Do you guys know, how hard it is to change pickups in an EGC? Is it like with "normal" guitars or are they specially mounted or so?!?
Thanks,Pat

Most of them are specially mounted directly to the neck.

I know Gavin from Holly Hunt rigged one of his EGC's to accept 'normal' pickups but it was a process.
